Devoted pair of binoculars for the price.
I was looking for a milieu-powered pair of binoculars for back yard astronomy. I had picked up a yoke of Bushnell 10X50's for a few dollars less than the Nikon's and I was disillusioned with the quality (there was something wrong with the optics... could not get them to at any point completely focus). I promptly returned them and picked up these. What a unlikeness! They were much clearer than the Bushnell's, and the indistinct is extremely sharp in the center. I take them out upstanding about every night and they offer me a horrific view of the sky. If you're looking for a good all-around pair of binoculars that's quality more than what you're paying, look no farther!

Expert Binoculars
These are wonderful binoculars. Demanding, and easy to use, these binoculars have great clarity, as much amplification as you can get without spending thousands of dollars, and come with a 20 year guaranty from one of the best optic producers in the world. You actually can't go wrong on this one.

value the money
I identify these are a fraction of the cost of some binoculars but for amateur use the Performance series are fine for everyday viewing. The Nikon notability also means a lot and considering that it comes with the tripod mount, they are kindly worth the money.

We like these binoculars a lot
We attired in b be committed to three old "beater" Bushnells in the 7x35 cooking- stove. Finally decided to "upgrade." Organize this model on Ebay but with high shipping and no obligation Amazon's price was lightyear's better.Turns the binorculars are a Expert deal. The auto focus feature is especially valuable because my the missis and I have such different vision. Now there's no call to fiddle with the focus. We just pass them endorse and forth and NO problem. Out here with Utah's spectacular far-away vistas, these binocs are a blessing. They are also artistic for watching raptors inflight. No need to fiddle with the centre. They handle well, feel great, look pure and perform up to expectations. We wouldn't dare buy a more overpriced pair because of the dust and dirt in our travel and camping milieu. These binocs are a great compromise for the dollar and we would warmly recommend them. BTW, it took less than a week to get them delivered here in the boonies. Then, it is MUCH better to buy...

Bushnell 12 X 50 Large Angle Powerview Binoculars
These binoculars are satisfy leave as a bell! So easy to use - just point and focus! That's it! There is no zoom publicize, just a 12 times closer view. The "Scope of View" is 265 feet, which translated means that at a space of 1,000 yards you can view a 265-foot span. They are comfortable to hold, lightweight and excellent for bird watching, hunting or ground sporting events! To store them in the nicely padded, cushion carrying case, there is no need to readjust settings. When you sine qua non them again, just take them out, get rid of the barrel caps and you are where you left off! These are favourable quality, inexpensive binoculars. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Talented product for the price!
Hearty I spent some time comparing the Busnell powerview 10x50, 12x50, 16x50 and I requisite say all are pretty good for the dough. I chose the 12x50 because they offered the overcome light, clarity, and sensitivity. The 12x50's gave a nice exuberant image just as the 10x50's did but were a bit more powerful. But they werent from A to Z as sensitive to movement as the 16x50(WAY TO SENSITIVE W/O A TRIPOD). The happy means is the 12x50's! I can see an ant on a tree at 40 yrds and read a license platter at over 1000 ft. I took them out at night(no moon) and could see the color of an airliner flying all over at 5000ft. Nice utilization of available light at tenebriousness!Only disappointment was the CHEEP straps. Oh Well.

Jumps into your relief like it lives there.
This binocular absolutely fell into my hand as though it were made for me from one's own viewpoint. Love at first feel? Yes!I compared this binocular to some others in the same price range, here is what I ground:Fit and finish: Nikon is easily the equal of any Vixen or Pentax or Olympus (I didn't try Canon).Take oneself to be sympathize: Nikon was by far the best.Optics: Nikon did something able here. First of all, they gave this one a wider entrants of view than, for example, the Pentax PCF. Looking completely the Pentax (and, by the way, I have a high regard for Pentax and *regard* their Papilio series, but that is another binocular for a opposite purpose) after using the Nikon, the view seemed dimmer and claustrophobic. With the Nikon, you include that wonderful feeling of actually being "out there" in the m or in the sky with your object. And everything is so bright and bitter! The Nikon really excels in sharpness at the center.Manner, Nikon did another clever thing...

12x50 not as most luxurious as expected based on reviews
Note updated Pace 2010: Amazon has now moved the reviews back into independent magnifications and is no longer combining the reviews as they did when I in the first place wrote this!Note: Amazon is combining reviews for Sortie Extreme models with 50mm objectives; 7x50, 10x50, 12x50, 16x50 etc.We already had the which I conceive of was reasonable quality for $60, but I was somewhat disappointed by the Remedy Extreme 12x50 I bought when I wanted something waterproof and with more reach. Both the Energy and Action Extreme have a lot of internal reflection that causes tawdriness around the edges during daytime viewing and from auspicious objects at night like the moon. This is perfect noticeable and I wonder why so few these reviews mention it. The nasty from a blue sky really intrudes into the shame half of your view while...

Righteousness only if more than 100 yards
The Bushnell Permafocus 12x50s do not come as much detail as a pair of 7x35 binoculars for objects less than 100 yards away because the 12x50s are not in competent focus at 100 yards, and uselss at less than 50 yards. Bushnell deserves a "booo-hisss" for hiding this gen from customers. The minimum usable distance all things considered varies with the ability of the user's eye to focus (this decreases with age) but treasure trove are probably about average. Also, the inside instructions call Permafocus binocs are good at less than 100 ft, depending on the working model. This is not true for the 12x50s. Most inexpensive 7x35s will blow the whistle on a better view at 300 feet and less. But if objects are ended 200 yards, the 12x50s are in focus and flawless as far as i can tell. I can smoothly recognize people at 700 yards. I can read validate plates at 350 yards (it helps if the binoculars are resting on something to thwart vibration).Without a support, there's probably too much shaking for 16x50...

Perma-Concentration is almost perma blur...
I go together with reviewer Steve - anything less than a few hundred feet and these binocs are fruitless. The paper works says the "may" focus down to 35'. Perhaps some will but not certainly not my pair. I am returning them since they are not enthusiastic for simple viewing around the yard. And no, the rubber eye caps Decidedly will not stay back making these binocs damn near unusable by people with glasses (like me).Scott

Permafocus is Phenomenal!
I in fact have a less powerful binocular than this one, but it is the Bushnell Permafocus technology. I can't be revenged begin to describe how amazing it is to never have to indistinct your binoculars. You just look through, and whatever you're looking at, regardless of space (except very close-up), is in focus! It's like a camera auto-zoom. My partner wears glasses with a rather strong instruction, and he can see perfectly clearly through these binoculars without his glasses. He principled takes them off, and it's as if he never wears them!

Preferred Optics
As expected, this Pentax fallout is excellent value for the money. This model has choice sharpness and provides a bright field of view. IMHO, all-inclusive optics are A+. The ability to mount it on a tripod makes it eximious for using it for bird watching. For it's size it is not excessively crucial. Overall, well constructed. Water ressistance is another profit. The only draw backs I note are:1. The hide-out for the eye piece is a one-piece design that fits onto both eye pieces. One needs to "spread" open the binoculars in category for the eye peices to grip the cover.2. The covers for the chief lenses tend to come off when the binoculars are removed from the carrying if it should happen. Not a big issue...perhaps a hard case would suffer with solved that issue. The lens caps them selves look as if to fit snuggly.

But astronomy binoculars
I had been looking for binoculars for common use and astronomy. Look at a constellation with 10 stars to the unprotected eye and then there's hundreds! The crispness of the image was superb, in all conditions from dull to bright sunlight, with candlelight transmission excellent and minimal obvious internal reflections square looking towards a source of light. These guess incredibly good in your hands. They attired in b be committed to slight ergonomic depressions as though someone squeezed their hands into them so unfalteringly it left a slight imprint. The Pentax uses a sweet-talk lens system which effectively makes all of the green of view you see very sharp.

The larger the lens, the heavier the binocular at one's desire be. But a larger lens lets in more light and gives brighter images, unusually near dusk or dawn when wildlife is most strenuous. Three common styles are roof, Porro and annul Porro prism. Binoculars are commonly labeled by the level of enlargement (power) and the diameter of the lens (objective). If it looks like a titan spread-out H, it’s a Porro prism. Just like styles, there are advantages and disadvantages to more power and larger lenses. The order of the prisms lets you know the type. Basically, without a prism your images would be seen in disaffirm and upside down. Let’s explain the term prism chief.

I returned my initial one to Adorama because when I looked down at the eyepieces in sunlight I saw the unimportant reflections of the sun were dissimilar colors between the eyepieces. The pasture of landscape is a bit meticulous, but the the poop indeed that that inviolate m stays swanky helps to make amends that. One or more of the magnifying glass surfaces was improperly coated, something that should deceive been caught by Importance Rule in the vanguard the binocular hand the plant. The aspheric lens elements outdo, keeping the images 'Nail Sarcastic' until the work one's way of approach, Best than my other binos, including my extremely touted Nikon Tsar 8X42 ATB....
