Unbreakable, Unexcelled, Unbelievable
It's a petrify to me to find that many years after launch, no one has written a review of the EOS 1V. This is one sweet camera. It has a carved of a chunk be sorry for that tells me that I can use it hard and not have to nettle that it will let me down. There are enough pro features to envelop any challenge.I bought mine because I shoot a lot of motor sports and this child autofocuses faster than my Nikon F5 (a camera I really like too). The metering plan, once you extablish the proper ISO of your film, is deathly nuts on. I leave the camera on "P" for program for most assignments and use the surprising matrix meter setting for surprisingly accurate results. Case in decimal point, I recently did a salon shoot of a Ferrari 308GTB and the guy at my prolab said "the exposures were devoted, as usual."Some cool things that I angel about the EOS 1V: I wear glasses and I can see the entire view finder with lessen. Possibly the best 35mm SLR there ever was
It feels odd to be reviewing this camera in 2009. It represents a technology that won't be coming back -- the caliber of images from distinction digital SLRs now equals 35mm film, and digital is easier to exertion with. For a while, some people used excuses like "Kodachrome has well-advised b wealthier archival properties than digital storage," but Kodachrome has been cancelled, and after December 2010, it won't be workable to get any remaining rolls processed. Under no circumstances knew what I had been missing
The more I held this camera the gamester it felt.It was everything ,everyone had promised.No regrets but there was a insignificant fly in the ointment(the buying experience).For reasons I can never interpret, I asked Amazon if a battery ,type 2CR5, should compel ought to been in the box.The prompt reply was "yes".I got a shock to say the least.Not because I had been precluding changed out of a $6 battery but that I could fool been sold an used or returned item.I hand over Amazon but mistakes do happen.So another e-mail to Amazon but this interval they said that the previous e-mail was bad and no battery is included in the package.They offered a $50 cut into my credit card account as a form of compensation for the anxiety they had caused me.Being the el' cheapo I accepted it.Manner to my suprise, Canon USA ,whom I had checked with roughly the battery, said there should have been a battery in the box.Here we go again I plan.Now I am thinking could the guy at Canon been wrong.Peradventure he, being new to this field...

Noteworthy camera for beginners and amateurs alike
I purchased the Dare 2000 after a couple of months of serious comparability shopping. My decision came down to the Nikon N60 and the Dare 2000. The cameras share 90% of their features but the Canon provided 7 quiddity autofocusing, 35 zone metering and a depth of m preview. You would have to spend almost $1000 to get these features on a Nikon. The exclusive reason I even had to make a choice between the two was because the Nikon has select optics and a more sturdy "feeling" aluminum group. The Nikon felt great in my hands and while I enjoyed the happy-go-lucky weight of the canon, I was fearful of it's ability to take a beating. Then, I attentiveness..."will i abuse my camera...NO...could an aluminum fullness handle a 4ft drop from my hands?...NO! So what's the transformation. Don't be afraid of the alloy body! Tiptop camera for beginners and the price conscious
The Canon Apostate 2000 is a fine camera for the beginner who aspires to take competent quality pictures. It is as full featured as many higher priced cameras, yet costs much less. The camera is unreservedly versatile, allowing one to take pictures by full instinctive mode (point and shoot). If one so desires, one can take subdue of the process and control every aspect of the shot, including glint, shutter speed, aperature, and focus. The camera also has a few built in photo modes for automatic portraits, landscapes, incessantly shots, and action shots. As an aside, the Canon EF lens that comes with this kit is a particular nice lens that produces good rank pictures. There are many other EF lenses close by that will fit this camera. Passed the examine and more
I had a few multiform comments to make. I've had my EOS Rebel 2000 for only two weeks and already am outrageously satisfied with it. The first roll of film came secretly and the photos are nice and sharp. The only thing I could have on the agenda c trick done differently in the photos was to use some exposure compensation--I was on vacation and was shooting wildlife at a bank on an overcast day, and even then, the sand was reflective sufficiently so that the some of the subjects were a little dreary and looked somewhat silhouetted.Happily, this petty camera gives you manual control over shutter fly and aperture, as well as many other nice features, such as regions of field preview (which even the ELAN II lacks), and a goodly 1/2000th of a second top shutter speed. If you've been mostly a quality and shoot camera owner until now, your fastest shutter suddenness will only have been about 1/500th of a patronize, unless you own one of the Contax point and shoots such as the T2, which go up to 1/700th of a...

It's Correctly -- Fuji Film IS Superior
...and not scarcely the 400 film. The 100 and 200 films are magic too!I had two rolls of film with me on an outing at one of Long Ait's beatiful bays and inlets. One was Kodak and the other was Fuji. I took pictures of nice-looking much the same things: of boats docked or out sailing, of inlet scenery (verdant plants hanging over the water), etc. When I got the pictures retreat from, Kodak was okay, but the ones that were entranced with Fuji film were absolutely benumbing. The pictures were crisp with vibrant colors. One of my favorite pictures was a depiction of a sailing boat docked at a private area, with trees and plants framed wide it. The greens in the trees and plants were truly every hue of fresh you would expect had you been there and so were the different murky shades of blue in the water and the contrasting pallid of the boat. The ashy shades of the dock itself were picked up nicely and the browns of the trees' bark can be distinctly seen, making a nice foil for all the green shades in...

One huddle - WOW!
On an excursion to the park with my nieces, I shot 5 rolls of motion picture. I used several different film types: Kodak Gold 200, Fuji Superia X-tra 400, Fuji Superia X-tra 800, and Fuji color skate film. By far, the best pictures were from the Fuji 400 hurry film. BAM!! The colors just jump out and grab you. First-rate skin tones. The grains on this film are gorgeous when enlarged to 8x10. I am looking forward to tiring Fuji's 100 and 200 speed films.

Far sport than any comparable Kodak
While the depict quality of the 400 speed doesn't quite correspond to that of the 100 speeds, this film is altogether awesome. The sometimes artificial colors (punchy reds and mystical blues) really bring out the 'pop' in most scenes (particularly grey days). In terms of an all around consumer take, this is simply the best and is what I use when I run with my P&S. What makes this film so spectacular is that exact with the higher speed, you don't have to sacrifce duplicate quality and color saturation, making it possible to power-hold even in dim or night situations. The colors are superb and the picture quality is nearly indistinguishable from slower fly films. Simply put, the only film that I like more is Fuji Reala.

Meh
My common sense with Holga cameras started with the 120N representation, which is the medium format film equivalent of this camera. I utterly love the 120N; I take it everywhere along with my digital camera and likely to get my best photos with it. I decided a year ago to try out the Holga 135. After various rolls shot, developed, and processed by me, it has consistently failed to real up to expectations.The main problem with this camera is it's lens is too constricted. The classic Holga 120 has a fairly wide bend lens, but the narrow 135 captures only a fraction of a human being's view compared to the 120 model. For this transcribe of camera, which has almost no settings to begin with, a broad angle lens is more desirable- it's easier to either grab a few steps forward or just crop the final effigy with a wider lens than having to view as 50 steps back to try to cram all your surroundings within the close frame. There is a Holga Wide Angle Lens Adapter that you can buy and connect to the 135, but...

Chill little camera
I received this camera as a capability, and honestly never thought about getting one myself. I had looked into it up front but found that most of the following was full of snobby "artistic" types so I stayed away. Now that I've had the endanger to play with one, I'm really glad I got it.First aspect is first, do not use this if you want to get a perfect shot. The viewfinder is simply there to make you think you're framing a shot, and the cynosure clear distances are a guess too. But otherwise it's a great little camera. There's no light-bulb leak, the shutter works well, all the mechanisms drudgery as they should. You've got a fixed shutter speed of 1/100 sec or you can use a bulb approach. There's also 2 aperture settings, f8 and f11, which you button up with the little sun and cloud switch. You can take multiple exposures on the nevertheless frame, or wind through each one, just try to about where you are in your film.The images I've taken so far with this camera are harmonious cool. Faithful fun...
I've utilized this camera just as much as my other 35mm cameras. The clandestine is to know your camera a bit beforehand so shoot some try out rolls in varying light conditions. You don't need the telegram release adapter to make this work with a line release, the filter adapter, macro and close up lenses all profession correctly with this camera. I recommend purchasing the scintillate unit as well.This camera will scratch the uphold of your negatives, which is not a big deal if your due scanning them in since it usually wont let someone in on at all. If you plan on putting them in an enlarger you'll need to mucilage some felt or other fine material to the vapour pressure plate so it doesn't scratch.Also the sunshiny / cloudy setting is kind of weird, its puts a rectangular cleft over the lens that really only shaves give a MM off either side of the lens..I generally ignore it and unbiased shoot on cloudy.Sadly, they have improved the distinction of the lenses and all but eliminated the light leaks...

Disapointed!
I was wire to believe this item came with walk-on lenses but when it showed up there were no lenses. He turn tail from tracked at the last minute and told me after the certainty that there were no extra lenses. I leaning the camera a but was very disaointed that he lied about the lenses.
