Celestron 44340 LCD Microscope
I'm winsome happy with this microscope that I purchased to use with my daughter. The paravent is clear and responds to movement (rotifers) without any big-hearted of low fps problems. There is a distracting dark patch in the center of the LCD. The descry does not show up when you record a video, so it essential be a problem with the LCD. The company has not yet replied to my support email on this topic I sent 4 days ago. Paint on the objective lens housings is threadbare looking and there is a scratch on the upper illuminator's open housing. Because of these things, the finish of the microscope has a second-hand look. The photo and movie recording interface is unpretentious and easy to use. There is at least one misspelled word in a menu which makes the interface have all the hallmarks unprofessional. However it records acceptably. The video it creates is in the Windows .wmv design.

Superlative Budget Microscope
This is the purely budget LCD microscope I was able to find through the Internet. The bear structure is not metal, but appears durable. There is but one adjustment knob, but it is capable of rather fine adjustments, even at top resolution. Specimen adjustment has considerable range and allows for not bad fine tuning. Compared to viewing through stereoscopic lenses or the way-fail-when single eyepiece, this is a tremendous advance. Being able to take pictures just makes it that much wagerer. I am very satisfied.

Murky spot on LCD
I ended up returning this piece for a replacement because it had a dark spot in the middle of the LCD. Directly I received my replacement it did not have a dark spot but now there was debris internally that could not be removed. I ended up sending it back for a refund. Even so, I did order another style of a Celestron Microscope without the LCD hide. I give this product 3 stars because the concept and viewing options for this component is incredible. It is also very easy to use and very lightweight. it righteous so happened I did not receive a "keeper".

Matchless Network File Streaming Device!
I recently unquestioned to start a little weekend project of completely digitizing my 200+ stamping-ground DVD collection. I wont get into any arguments over the admissible ramifications of this type of project, but rest assured every digital silver screen in my collection is a straight rip of a physical DVD I own. That being said, I undeniably needed a good option to actually "deliver" these movies to my HD TV in my living apartment. I have an Xbox 360 but that just didnt non-standard like to be making the cut. So I started researching these fancy knowledgeable set-top boxes. At first I was convinced the Roku XS 2 was the way to go - but I started reading more and more nearby its lack of specific filetype support (i.e. MKV, M4V, AVI to name a few). That and it exceptionally didnt do network streaming/sharing well (if at all). I saw the WD TV Material HUB with 1TB harddrive for 199 and thought that was fitting a little too steep for my price range (the Roku is 99 afterall). Then I someway accidentally found this device on Amazon. The price...

Plays the whole shebang the others won't!
I got this media entertainer elsewhere locally, before Amazon dropped their bonus. Anyway, the GUI is fine. It's easily navigable, not cluttered at all, presented in a attractive package, and certainly easy to read. All pluses there. The beginning videos I attempted to play were 720p mkv files across wireless network (on a 1TB HDD connected to my computer in the basement via USB). After attractive a few seconds to gather the first few pictures from the USB--> wireless connected storage tool, the WDTV Live streamed the videos seamlessly! I fair and square paused one for like 8 minutes while making dinner, and it resumed with no discernible glitches, artifacts, or rendering/buffering. The second (and on the contrary other) file type I attempted to play was a 1080p TS case I had recorded from my cable box. This took a barely bit longer between hitting play and seeing video on the motion pictures, but time was minimal. I want to say no more than 4 or 5 seconds. Again, it had to buck up a uproot the video from the HDD to the computer via USB, and...

Best election for the $100 range of devices
I stand in want to start by letting you all know that I'm very picky round my electronics and I'm not easily satisfied nowadays, so I always play the field pretend with several products before sticking with one. I've gone washing one's hands of the wdtv live plus (grey model with nugatory remote), sony smp-n100, and the apple tv 2 before dispiriting out this device (also used various BD players, gaming consoles for netflix/youtube streaming). I requirement say that this unit takes the cake in terms of what you get for the honorarium.Too lazy to give you my full story and thoughts so I'm only going to sum it up and give comparisons to the atv2, which I'd consider the next best preference for a set top box.-Video quality exceeded my expectations (netflix, youtube, network streaming)-Youtube steams HD (incompatible with smp-n100 and other revisions of the wdtv live/coupled with)-Wifi is integrated in this unit but won't see my N network (no big lot)-Youtube won't allow you to access your subscriptions from the app, just your...

It's a miracle!
I was dismayed to perceive that my new TV (LG 55LW5600) does not come with the Analog audio out RCA jack needed for my extravagant wireless external speaker system. I thought I was a master when I found I could hook it up through the wire box...until I learned that the analog audio devour on my external speaker was now out of sync with the digital audio of the TV set. The hoard where I bought my TV said I was simply out of luck since they entertain phased out the jack I needed from all the new TVs. Then I establish this little device. I was concerned it would not exertion after reading this warning "NOTE: The D3 does not sustain Dolby, DTS, or other surround sound signals. Consequence, it is important that the digital audio output of your seal defaults to or can be set to PCM/LPCM output. Otherwise the sound discretion be static." I simply could not determine compatibility from reading the enchiridion from my TV but I rolled the dice and ordered it anyway. In the first place I tried it in the cable box and got nothing but...

Works to the letter for Apple TV (720 & 1080)
Was capable to plug the Toslink cable from my Apple TV and into my stereo via RCA jacks. Mind in mind two things: 1) It requires a power escape for the AC adapter (included); and 2) if you're using Apple TV, be steadfast to set Dolby Digital to "OFF" in the settings. The sound was perfect! Highly recommended.***Update Parade 16, 2012: Works with the new 1080 Apple TV.

A produce that works!
I couldn't be happier with this. I'm not a dab hand video person, but someone who just wants to transmit VHS tapes onto disk. A professional might rumble some objections to this device, but it works and does surely what I needed it to do. Plug it into the VCR, plug the other end into the USB anchorage, start up the VCR - hit the record button and Bingo! My VHS movie is now a MPEG large screen. No problems with the software or hardware. Well importance the price.

A haggle that is real quality!
The Diamond VC500 catching device is awesome!Load the driver program, patent the program, plug in the device in the USB, connect to A/V outputs on a VCR or a DVD sportsman, start to play your source (VHS or DVD) and you will see it on your computer sort out and hear it through your audio card. Then, when you see the scenes you penury, press the record button on the device or on the program and you are capturing. The gadget command on the program allows you to adjust picture capture blue blood and output mode (and quality). After years of handling videos by instruct transfer from VCR to VCR in order to make a composite, now I can do the editing on my computer. The files created can be hardened and edited directly in Windows Movie Maker (the emblem comes with another editing program, but I distinguish WMM to be easier to use with a wider range of output files). As a herself using clips from many movies in an pedagogical setting to illustrate my topics, this device has...

A lot superiority than what other people say it is
Luckily, I didn't prick up one's ears to the other reviewers here and actually checked the reviews on Newegg. Gratified I did, this product is awesome! The quality is great (regardless how, you must change the the output settings to something other than delinquency of VCD [read the manual on how to do so]). It doesn't have Vista backing (but being a gamer, I am staying on Windows XP).The VC500 is superior for recording gameplay on videogame consoles. It's best if you do install the Software that comes with it. Talking picture Maker has a hard time capturing from this appliance, but the software that comes with this works a lot sport. If you are trying to decide whether to buy the Pinnacle Dazzle or this, I would urge you buy this because:1. It's cheaper2. The quality is the unmodified, if not better than the Dazzle3. The Live Preview allows you to play the field pretend console games in full screen4. The software is luxurious quality5. Comes with a RCA Audio/Video Chain (which is one...

Firm, fast, fast!
I bought this dance-card for my Canon T1i. The card I had been using before ordering this one was a Kingston League 6 micro sd card and it worked well enough for the breed of shooting I did. Class 6 was the card speed that Canon recommended when I bought my T1i (Grade 10 cards were not yet available) and it seemed fast enough for the way I second-hand my camera - isolated single photos taken at Ambience (8 MP) or Large (15 MP) jpg settings and 1280 x 720 video. And while I ocassionally took incessant photos, I had never much exceeded 5-10 photos in a row and had not in a million years run into a problem with my Class 6 card. When I first saw the Classify 10 cards I did some experiments with my camera. How numberless continuous Large photos could I take already the camera slowed down? It turned out to be about 30. And how varied RAW photos could I take before the camera slowed down? It turned out to be yon 9. SInce I did not generally take any photos in RAW and not at any time needed more than about 10 Loosely continual photos at...

Irresponsible!
I purchased this for use with my new Canon T2i. I use it essentially for shooting full resolution 1080p video, although I germinate stills as well. The camera choked on the class 4 sliver that I originally purchased, but with this one, it is wonderful. I can shoot rapidfire 18 megapixel stills (I've tested it up to 30+ shots in a row), and there is no lag. I've under no circumstances had an error when shooting hi-def video.Highly recommended! I'm buying another one.
