Not the dual agent coil model!
Desire be careful when purchasing this product, the portrayal would lead you to believe this model has dual convey coils or "DVC" as stated in the title. This model is not a dual medium coil but rather the single voice coil copy. Kicker does make a dual voice wrap model in the Comp "VR" series for about twice what this paragon retails for. ($129.99). I've contacted Amazon.com about this and advised the changes to the crown to avoid further confusion.

Kicker Comps is the most outstanding way to start!
This subwoofer was the in the first place I have ever used. I have to say that this is an astounding sub. It's got a lot of bass for those who are first getting into subs. It has the power to scare the car, so enjoy it when you buy it!

Hugely good!
This kicker comp 10" car sub is significance what you are paying for. It is working just fine for me, above all because I am not maxing it out, so that way, it wont blow up. It is best for a young driver's first sub, like me. The only fixation is since I have had it for a few months, I'm starting to think that I would like a bigger one. This sub can solitary take up to 300 watts peak power. I am looking for one with up 1000 or so. For anybody that just wants gracious base, but is not looking for the biggest base, then this sub is what you are looking for. But yes, you do get your bang for your buck.

More safely a improved value than Polk DB, awesome woofer but some are education ESN 'educationally subnormal'
I've exclusively had this a couple days, so I will wait to disparage a complete review. The first 1042w I received had a misaligned cone/driver/make known coil; thus, when placed at certain orientations (such as kisser-up) it makes all kinds of terrible sounds. I will lessen my (4-star) review if I encounter more broken units. These are made in China and the quality sway is obviously not awesome.... I called Infinity to description the defect and give them the serial number so they could check out up on the problem. I was of course going to send it back to Amazon, but I figured they puissance want to know about a potentially bad batch of woofers. Understandably, customer service forwarded me to customer support out of India. They cared nothing relative to the details of the defect; I tried to give them the serial swarm but they didn't even want it. Pretty characteristic mass-market company that no longer prides itself on delivering blue blood. But, Infinity is of course not alone; they're just another label in the sea trying...

Exceptional value sub, awesome SQ and underrated power handling
I've owned a sprinkling different brands of subs in my lifetime, including JL, RockfordFosgate, Alpine and more. I include also worked at several audio shops, so I've heard some talented and some bad subs. I needed a single 10" for an introduce in a smaller car with a single box, I needed one with a focal point on Sound Quality and could handle 300watts from my Alpine mono amp. I didn't yearning to spend much and Infinity has a fantastic reputation for speakers and subs, ie: Kappa and Accomplish series. After carefully reviewing some options from other companies, I chose this sub because it is a elevated value and is underrated in terms of power handling. It is of capital build quality and more importantly sounds important. In a .75 cu foot box, it is crisp and clear on tight drum kicks but can to handle long and low notes from rap songs. Benevolent Value - Questionable Longevity
I threw this savage in a .75 Cu sealed enclosure and powered it with a 300-watt RMS Type D Monoblock. Everything was good, not super loud (strikingly in my trunk) but I prefer tight, accurate bass. Anyway, after yon 6-months I started hearing a loud rattle when my sum total was up; I thought I had shook something loose inside my car, but in the course of time I discovered that the subwoofer cone had partially separated from the rubber envelop. I called up Infinity who said it was up to Amazon to honor the guarantee, and did they ever, I received a replacement overnight. The new sub hits inscrutable, and seems to have some minor changes from the old one. All being well it lasts longer this time.

Weak to set and BUMPS like CRAZY!
For being a 10 inch sub, this possession BUMPS. I have it hooked up to a crunch 1000 watt 30th anniversary scope pounder amp in a sealed box and no joke, this sub kicks some genuine ass and the set up was extremely easy. I went into best buy to come apart it a listen though before i bought it on here (which i put forward) and i couldn't be happier. I mainly listen to a lot of double bass and it is put for that. Thank you Alpine!

Intense, especially with right box/amp
I include one of these subs in a custom, 1.98 cu. ft. box in the back of my conveyance, powered by an Alpine MRP-M500. This subwoofer is crisp, unpolluted and as loud as most folks will want. Equally upright at delivering deep, punchy bass or that trunk rumbling effect. The people who have heard my car (from the exterior or the inside) have been amazed to find out that it was at best one 10". I guess that size doesn't continually matter... I have no regrets with this sub, upright make sure to follow the specs and make the in all honesty size box- it really is important.

alarming
i bought two of these subs and have in the offing them hooked up to a kenwood kac 8105d 1000 watt amplifier at 2 ohms so they get 500 watts rms and they are in an atrend routine downfire truck box and they are crazy loud when i monomaniac the volume they rattle everything in my truck and again pop out my back windows, and these things are rock real and weigh about 15 pounds each, inclusive great sub forthe price

Not what I trace I'd get...
IT is exactly a dual voice coil sub woofer, and the craftsmanship is way superior than what you'd pay $30-40 at an automotive store. I fluctuate it's good for it's "1000w" and I could see feeding it 250 a flute, which is fine and it sounds great if you box it correctly. The cone looks exceptional, and the magnet is very solid. This is a pretty Poseidon's kingdom sub though, so your box will need to be a good 12" serious or so for it to fit in the box all the way, and the wire posts are the quick release type so this is least easy to install. I have two of these, and one of them I'm on-going off a 500w amp in my home and the other is in the trunk of one of my cars. I was surprised, it's a unequivocally good sub for the price, and I recommend it to only receive maybe 63hz ahead of it sounds fuzzy, which is great, and most decks can't be set to do higher anyway on the SW neck. AS far as aesthetics, the flames on the cone look great, and there's no licit cheap plastic on the whole deal, and the chrome plating looks angelic, so...

What I expected
Iv owned this sub for 1 month now and it has satisfied my needs for the the tuchis end of my stereo. I have it hooked up to an alpine 300 watt 2 trench amp bridged and hooked the sub coils up is series for an 8ohm circuit. Sounds lofty for rock and death metal but flat out beats to rap. I bought it to make restitution for my jlw0 10 so it's sitting in the ported box the shop hooked me up with. Also I'm basing my suffer with this sub in an extended cab ford ranger so... Interperate how you like

Skilful sound at a fraction of big box store price.
Installed this sub in a ported box in a replete sized van and it sounds great even for a 10". I as per usual keep the woofer level at 0 and it's all I need. Tight when called for and big hits when called for. I am delighted.

Upper-class 10" sub ever!!!
I recently bought this sub regular though I have no idea why i bought a 10" because I do not like them at all. This sub is so much unheard-of than others it is full of just bass hooked to the quickly amp I couldn't believe how it sounds. This thing hits like 2 kicker 12's with barely one. No joke if your looking for an awesome 10 this is it and chiefly for the price 10 out of 10.
