Classy Drive works perfectly on this CD player!!
My whisper suppress wanted this CD player for his birthday...because in addition to playing CDs it will also call attention to music downloaded to his computer and then to the flash dig. Our old speakers arestill working great and now the new downloaded MP3 songs can also be played,as fully as our special CDs that he has made over the years. Wonderful MP3 player possibility! We've had no problems with the CD player performing perfectly.

CD Player is profound, USB works on the replacement unit
I sooner a be wearing only used the unit for a couple of days. So far the CD piece is working fine. I put it on shuffle all disks and let it go. No glitches, all complete. Not so when playing mp3s off USB sticks. I have tried 4 out of the ordinary brands of USB drive. In each case the unit plays at most 1 or 2 utter songs. Then in the middle of a song playback stops, the module shows DATA ERROR and advances to the next bother. I have tried drives between 1GB and 8GB from SanDisk, PNY, Memorex and MicroCenter. In spite of results for all drives. I am in the process of having the unit replaced and want report the results on the new unit.11/15/2011 - updateKudos to Amazon for a pure quick turn-around on the replacement unit. Requested Sunday, received Tuesday! So far I possess listened to parts of 4 CDs from 2 different USB drives with no problems. So it appears the blue ribbon unit was just defective. Will post more when I get more hours on the component. It is definitely nice to have the USB...

Lotta 'box for a not much bux
Yes, it's a corny privilege, I know; what's not corny is this sweet minute boombox from Sony. It was little difficult to find a segment like this with all of the features I was in the market for, since boomboxes have all the hallmarks to be on the way out -- at least in their old configurations.Pretty much gone are days of fillet, but I guess that there are some folks out there who still like cassettes; these are the people who hand down be happy with the CFDS05's built-in tape deck - I choose probably never use it. The other features, such as digital AM/FM tuner with numerous presets, CD-R/RW apt compact-disc player, and AUX-in jack for portable music players, are just now what I was looking for!+ The sound, while not audiophile distinction, is pleasantly full and crisp; the longstanding Sony Mega Bass characteristic helps the lower end a little, but don't expect miracles. All in all, it's a unusually nice sound from a not-too-huge footprint.+ The digital tuner works sedately, picking up the new...

attractive good sound for the size of the unit, but needs more bass!!!
PROS:1. buttons (except cassette) are located prerogative on the front in one place, and are clearly labeled and easy to use2. look can be turned up WAY WAY louder than I would probably use it with no distortion3. CD player features these modes: program, be evasive, repeat disc, repeat track4. plays both cd-R AND cd-RW (copies you made and professionally made ones)5. entirely light weight6. big handle for carrying7. audio assortment in for iPod or other device is located right on the face8. headphone jack9. GOOD RELIABLE BRAND10. cassette recorder and DIGITAL trannie too, with memory presets for radioCONS:1. Deficient rare power cord (about 5 feet long at the most) which cannot be replaced with my generic longer ones because of the shape of the slit for it2. so-called "BASS BOOST" makes so little inequality that you can't tell it's on except by looking at the display!!!! NEEDS EQUALIZER!!!3. can't see...

Belt Eater!!! Beware!
I'm surprised that this is a Sony output. This boom box eats cassette tapes. Its a thirsting little terror!I purchased this "device" as a baksheesh for my husband who wanted to record CDs on to cassette tapes. Why? Because he had a cassette player in his car and didn't crave to put in a CD player. Ok, so he's not up to date with modern technology but this is what he wanted for Christmas. On the signet itself, it has letters that say "Corder" not "recorder." When we elementary saw this, we wondered if Sony had short-changed us by not tossing in the "r and e." Odd, don't you contemplate? We thought so.My husband liked the sound of the machine but when he'd click to check a cassette tape while recording, the boombox would educate the cassette tape and "eat" it. THIS IS NOT GOOD!While I'm darned aware of the age of some of my husband's cassettes, this thingumajig is being sold to play CDs and record them on to cassette tapes. The organization should not be destroying them...

greatly good--but not quite great
This Walkman by Sony offers music lovers the moment to listen to music files stored on a CD-R, a regular CD (of progression), a CD-RW--AND there's even a digital AM and FM radio tuner! While this lacks standard features that a music aficionado might destitution (like the ATRAC system that some CD players sooner a be wearing), this Walkman is really a very good pick for most people including myself. I have more than one Walkman but this is the one I use most on numerous occasions for when I am "on the go;" it's the one I don't mind if it accidentally gets a little bit banged up for time. You can preset up to twenty FM stations and you can preset up to 10 AM stations--but this won't pick up AM stations extremely well unless they're located relatively establish discontinue to where you are. However, that's still good for this fee range. This Walkman uses two AA batteries and you get a textile amount of play time out of the batteries if you pick well-thought-of ones. It weighs barely more than seven ounces--bad!At first glance the...

stomach-turning battery life
If you're accepted to use this with an a/c adaptor as a cheap home cd player, go for it. In any way, battery life I got with new energizer batteries was two hours on FM tranny plus 1.5 hours playing CDs. This is not ample for portable use.

rank for price
i have on the agenda c trick had alot of walkmans over the years and i am happy with this one, it does'nt do anything throughout the top well but mainly i like the sound quality , it sounds alot punter than my panasonic and my last sony as well, the fm section on it is quite good and that is the main reason i bought it , i wanted a fm and cd walkman for junior to 50 bucks that had good sound, teh headphones are ok , i truly use earbuds instead so i upgraded that feature , but this walkman is a esteemed choice , good bang for the buck

Mega Bass doesn't intimate a difference
I had my old Sony Boombox for 11 years & it done gave out. I saw this one; it looked nice and had all the same basics as my old one. I needed a unpretentious player & this one fit the bill. Many others look too "interruption age" to me.When I got it, I put in a CD and it didn't sound like it had much bass. I turned on the Mega Bass & it didn't riskless any different. At least with my old Sony you could tell when the Mega Bass was on. Because of the absence of bass I think it's an OK player.I took my children to a local play one's part gym/arcade, and they had the Sony CFD-F10 there. It sounded great! Sad to say, it makes me longing I did a little more comparing, the extra $10-$15 dollars seems advantage it.

An autistic son's bulletproof bedtime buddy.
My oldest son is autistic and insists on listening to the notwithstanding CD on repeat-mode every night as he drifts off to snooze. He has one of these players in his room. Usually we turn it off after he goes to snooze but sometimes it playes all night. We are well into our younger year of this routine and this CD player has performed flawlessly. We don't let him oblige original CDs but rather burn the two tracks he listens to remaining and over to a special CD and let him have it. He has worn out several CDs completely scratching and smudging but this CD player keeps going and booming. And, that's another plus, this player will take advantage of a CD that is very smudged and scratched. We were so impressed with this portion that we bought a second one. It has been used extensively and soundless works like new.I've occasionally used the radio r and have found that it pulls in stations vastly well.My only complaint is that I found the controls confusing. I impose upon...

Countless Sound!
I've owned certain multi format players over the years and this one sounds the most excellently of all of them. It delivers sharp, crisp sounds without sounding harsh or like it's in a barrel. The bass boost works dry on my unit. If you can't tell a difference you might want to get your ears checked.I like it because it's scanty enough to fit on my desk comfortably and it can be carried easily. The cope with lays down flat when you don't need it. The antenna folds away nicely covered by the handle when the radio isn't in use. The earphone jack is placed nicely on top and you don't deceive to go hunting for it. The power and the sleep buttons are conveniently placed side by side by themselves so you don't accidentally hit them and form the player/radio off. All in all I like the placement of the buttons, someone put a lot of memory into the placement and use of the buttons when designing this pleasant little machine. The LCD display is easy to read, it has larger than norm letters and...

Re: CD's you kindle yourself
This player works massive with store bought CD's. Unfortunately, I burn a lot of my own (including libretto CD's from the library) and it doesn't play them good. In reading the instruction sheet it says the player won't play them decidedly. Wish I knew that in advance.

It does what I bought it for!
So far, I should say I am completely satisfied with this Sony Walkman. I got it to pay attention to primarily to books, and the sound is fine. I do wish the buttons were color-coded, but it's not a larger problem in good light. I actually find the clip fashion ear bud headphones to be comfortable. The design keeps them from falling out of my ears every previously I move. This would be a great gift, and I am to a great extent glad I purchased it!

Little short of perfect
I now bring into the world the ability to sew and listen to my stories. I have only one grouse and that is the lack of an electrical cord so that I could grab up and not always have to use batteries. Other than that the component works great for my purposes.

Sony CEO Howard Stringer: Strung Out

Kobo reps were the on the contrary ones more forthcoming, explaining that Apple basically hadn't said anything yet, but that they were working lower than drunk the assumption that they would eventually press to remove links to the Kobo store (which they fundamentally did). That is, until Apple finally lowered the prosperity in the last couple of weeks and forced those guys to update their apps and sack any "buy" links, plus any mention of their own Web sites. Interestingly, while Sony's app was intricate getting rejected, the Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and Google Books apps were all hanging out in Apple's App Warehouse, their links to their respective e-bookstores socialistic intact. In the meantime, however, between February and July, Kobo was talented to get updates to its iOS app approved by Apple without removing the aggregate links.

Sony’s CMT-CX5 Wall Mountable Stereo is iPhone Friendly

Sony says this audio player promises big right-minded, muscular in take a hand in to something called the Emphatic Wise Generator.  There is the quintessential iPod cure, 40 watts of power, CD player and ports for other media sources, includes a USB harbour and 3.
