Not due for computers - improves cheap TVs
I recently got a low-cost 19" HDTV which has decent enough video rank but it burdened with the WORST sound I've heard on a TV. Flimsily sounding speakers with little volume. But there was a headphone jack on the TV. With headphones, the TV sounded barring. My computer speakers were connected with a headphone jack... They worked perfectly fine on the TV. I looked for powered 2.1 computer demagogue systems on Amazon and was delighted to find many choices eye $40. The best value for the money seemed to be this Logitech and the economical TV now has excellent sound.I give this a 5 star rating (rather than of a 3 or a 4) because of the low price. There are better 2.1 systems but nowhere immediate this price.

Not as established as Bose - WHAT!!!??
Like so profuse, I bought this system based on my own review of the complicated specifications and the opinions/reviews of others. In a word, I contemplate this system is outstanding. However, I would like to oration some of the objections of negative reviewers which I did not encounter manifest. It is, of course, possible that many of the negatives described could be attributable to a retarded product.Sound quality. First off, I experience no hum, buzzes, or blare of any kind; perhaps I fail to overdrive the system! Secondly, the negatives are incongruous, i.e., one's too much is another's not enough; some are tinny, some basses boom; varied have no control over either; the separation between treble and bass is such that there is no midrange; and uncommonly noteworthy is the post by he who noted that the system was not as honesty a possessions as the Bose he listens to all day at work! Really - what a blow! I find the sound quality excellent, more so than I expected from an cheap...

Incredible
Vast sound with a nice touch of base. All the je sais quoi in a small package. The speaker wires are really not extended enough for distant placement of speakers the wire doesn't spread that far individually. The sub woofer does well it packs a punch when cranked up. The piano blacklist color adds nice touch to the speakers and woofer which is good of heavy but slim enough to fit just about anywhere. The mass control and mic/phone jack controls are easy to use and a big return for me. Easy gliding volume control the whole procedure feels solid with no visible weaknesses. Over and above all a good speaker system for the money.

My criticism of these speakers.
Hello friends,Previous you begin to read my review, please understand that I only wrote it because there are so damned few reviews currently available about these speakers. Conspiratory that, here is what I can tell you about them:In front of all, I purchased these speakers for one, and only one, reason. I presently own a bleeding nice Panasonic 27" color (stereo) idiot box. The sound from the internal TV speakers never thrilled me, so I looked into purchasing some bettor speakers. The first thing I discovered (to my dismay) was that my TV did not make "external speaker" jacks. Okay, so I dropped a few extra bucks ($99.00 to be call for), and I purchased a very nice, 100 watt Sherwood, stereo receiver. Generate in mind now that I am only talking about a "stereo." I am not talking take a surround sound system, a Dolby digital organization (5-1, 6-1 or the like), or any other high-tech approach. Just plain old, every day, run of the mill stereo! Now, I indeed thought that...

Devoted sound, awesome durability
I'm the executive of WRNC in Ashland, WI and we've used these speakers as our studio monitors for 2.5 years, practically non-stop. They've never complained or degraded in any way. From nonetheless to time we also knock them around as we make a move them to remote broadcasting locations, and they've survived balance out this quite nicely.I recently purchased two pairs of these speakers for use with my skilled in stereo, and they have not disappointed. They may not be the most dear speakers out there, but they're a vast improvement from the Panasonic speakers I've been using for the survive twelve years.

Peradventure this will help
It is doubtlessly pointless to add yet another review to this speaker that says "shapely for the price". Everybody knows that by now. What I press noticed is the few reviews that say the sound is muddy or there is no midrange or highs. (I purpose discount the complaints about "needing an amplifier")I wishes start by mentioning something I have seen in no other survey: When I opened the box, there was a notice from Sony taped to the top of the wrappers on the speakers. A portent, actually. It said to be sure to connect the speakers to an amplifier "next to" the maximum rating of the speaker. It went on to say that folding to connect them to a "sufficiently powerful" amplifier would development in tweeter burnout. So, the question is: What is "sufficiently weighty"?I will spare you the boring details of my research, and donate you the bottom line. Do not connect these to an amplifier of less than 40 Watts RMS per waterway. At 40 Watts and up, you are pretty much...

Gargantuan inexpensive speakers
I was looking surrounding for a while for the least expensive and still good standing speakers on Amazon, and these seem to be them. These drink great sound quality and get plenty loud. All you procure to do is plug the power cord into the wall and the leafy audio cord into the computer and it works. And I possess to say that i think they look better in actual life than in the pictures. Good buy. I cant entertain the idea of any bad things about them.

Simply what I wanted
These speakers are ungenerous, stylish, high-performing, and most of all, cheap. By a hair's breadth like me! Only one oddity to report: the instructions refer to a pink dam up and a green plug, but in reality there is only a country-like plug.

Diminutive Logtech, Lots'a Sound
Living in a unmoving college community I wanted to have access to music while not troubling other residents. I wanted a nice quality look like for listening to music via the internet and I found it in my new Logtech Stereo Speakers. The sturdy quality is not unlike that from any good audio method. For such a compact size the sound is awesome. I would tout these speakers for listeners who enjoy good music while working at their computer or due for listening to music on any computer. They feature adjustable abundance, just so you know, and adjusts well to graphic equalizer preferences. It dosent enigma the type of music or sound. Logtech speakers adapt fountain-head to heavy bass, R and B, Jazz, classical music, video, and/or straight techno! Whatever your listening preference Logtech multimedia speakers call for little space and delivers quality sound.

Certainly Good Sound & Built "Kid" Tough
I can not positively add much to my review which has not already been said. These are artistic sounding speakers for the price. If you want speakers with accurate music imitation, thumping bass and higher volumes, best to put in more money and upgrade to Logitech's Z-4 model. But for insouciant listening and computer gaming, the X-140 speakers are more than no great shakes. My biggest positive is the durability & construction; very involved plastic backs with heavy duty metal fa grills (which are virtually impenetrable to pencils, pens, and other kid wielded objects). So far, after 4 months of use, I participate in deemed them "kid proof". Those of you who compel ought to small children know what I mean. I effectively recommend the X-140's for those on a budget or those who at most can't see the logic in dropping big dollars when kids are for everyone. ****May 2011 update. Still in great teach and rockin' strong!****

Superb Value
For the evaluate, the sound is quite good. I also like that they use a paragon AC plug instead of an AC adapter and you can actually turn them heart off when away from the computer without having to uplug the adapter. Inclusive, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Improve Than Most - Especially For The Price
For the charge: These are tough, sturdy attractive looking speakers. In information, better than most. The treble is excellent and the mid-string is near perfect. The bass is a high-bass, so don't calculate your desk to rumble, but the overall quality of characteristic is very good. There is distortion after a ¾ run of the dial. The orange "on" light is a bit bright (I'd prefer depressed or green, but that is a minor concern). The bulk control does make a pronounced difference in loudness, but the tone colour control varies only in the absence of bass. It is calm to set up and there is a convenient headphone jack and a single virile plug for external music sources (not great for iPod users - you'll even now need to use your computer's USB port).

Epicurean Surround
I'm a particle chagrined I waited so long to immerse myself in the in all respects of 5.1 surround sound. Most websites on the course of study will tell you to get all of your speakers from the same manufacturer, so the harmonics are all cousins of each other. Well, with Bose bookshelf speakers, the accompanying hem in speakers would have been another grand, so I unequivocal to bottom end with Sony. These little puppies are unnatural in that you can't take the mesh covers off to spock the look of the orator diaphragms, but that's the only weird thing. They cart leave with the tiniest capellini-sized speaker wire you can take it as given, which helps you enjoy your new sound unkink out of the box until you can get some more decent sized wire. For a starter kit, these are intensively sufficient, plus, they're sleek and unobtrusive. If you haven't battle-scarred surround sound anywhere but the theaters, get these babies and fee Apocalypse Now, or any of the Bourne movies. (Or better yet, watch the dust...

What wow sounds like
I press this set paired with the SS-B3000 bookshelf speakers. These speakers secure amazing compared to my old speakers. The center channel is crisp and clarify. The rear speakers add great depth to movies. I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2 to study things out, it's like you're in the movie. I've never experienced that sort of sound before.EDIT: I just upgraded my receiver to the STR-DG720, calm more amazing. These speakers are a match with other Sony products.

Enthusiastic Completer Set
I paired these with a set of SSB-1000 Bookshelf speakers. They are a massive set to complete for 5.0 surround, i would suggest a divided sub because i low end on the bookshelf speakers or this set.Center is clear and curly, rears are mid-small and do the job just fine.

The Biggest Mistakes People Make When Buying An HDTV

That means I would require a new processor, and it would cost over $5,000 to get something comparable to what I give birth to now that supports height speakers, Then I would necessary an amplifier and the speakers themselves on top of the new processor. My email inbox has a lot more messages from people looking to keep off complexity than those looking to add it. For example, I regularly get emails from readers looking to buy envelop bars or wireless speakers so they can avoid running tub-thumper wires... I would not spend over $5,000 to add culmination speakers, especially since I think the benefit is questionable and I am favourable with a conventional surround sound experience. I can deem of two or three the past few days, just off the top of my head. Summit speakers seem like overkill to me, at least in terms of the representative home entertainment consumer.
