A Most Frustrating Contradictory Bag!!!!
I purchased this projector earlier in January directly from Benq. Upon approve physical inspection I'd say this is a large projector, a little plasticky and funky looking with a mostly coloured box a dark purple shinny insert and the unneserarily oversized lense fixing for zoom/focus....ok now for the real disapointment..as in days gone by reviewed everywhere you need to spend a bit of time 3:30 hrs in my patient to dial in all the colors properly...once that is done..."WOW" what a delightful picture, in one word "Awesome", when compared with the LCD it was replacing. At definitely I noticed the LOUD fan noise..this unit sits shortly above the front row of seats which is "my sweet smidgen", not to mention the misterious BUZZ sound that I identified as the Dinamyc Iris....Yes everytime the portrait fades to black or dark scenes...ZZIIIPPPP...I rest out the way to get rid of this distraction was turning dinamyc black off doing this swayed the black levels and the pop factor in the picture, however...

Fair, Crisp, No Rainbows
If you are in a plight where you have ambient light, or a large gauge to fill this projector fits the bill. The important by is the six segment color wheel. A lot of DLP projectors with this genre of light output will cheat and use a seven division wheel. The Seventh segment is white. That increases the brightness but washes out the colors and ruins the comparison. Those that are sensitive to DLP "Rainbows" will be mere happy with the image quality. The projector supports vertical and flat lens shifting (critical for properly aligning the duplicate to the screen), however it's a manual stick on the front of the estimate. Zoom and focus are also manual by moving two big rings around the lens. The build quality of the instance is middle of the road, which is fine for fixed coronation, but I wouldn't recommend traveling with it. Given the penalty point of thousands less than competing projectors those are impartial compromises.

Fulfilled Home Theater Projector for larger Screens (120+)
The W6000 has some of the highest ratings in a tellingly theater projector under $5,000 and delivers a super vivacious, high contrast picture. It has 2500 lumens compared with most projectors in this quotation range with 1000 to 1600. It's big, heavy, it has a prodigious lens and delivers an excellent picture in any lighting. If you are in view of the Panasonic PTAE4000U or Epson 8500UB, this projector is positively in that class but is far superior in brightness. For a screen vastness greater than 120" and with any level of ambient lighting, this is assuredly the best overall projector for the money.

Rainbow Secure A Deal Breaker
I did a lot of homework anterior to buying this product (my first projector). If you've done the at any rate, you'll know this is a great projector for home theatre use - with all the honestly features and a lot of bang for the buck. This is all true. I sampled projectors with cured/higher features and saw nothing worth twice the cost. There is no doubt (unless money truly is NO Phenomenon) that this is the projector to choose for home theatre. ALL THAT BEING SAID, and having interpret and been warned by at least a dozen reviews (of the X1) which marginalized the ''rainbow to all intents'' I MUST SAY THAT THE RAINBOW EFFECT IS A INSURMOUNTABLE Precarious condition POINT and my review will focus on exactly that. I don't recall if any projectors exist in the world without this unruly, but here it is in a more understandable form: It seems that the exact replica is made of RGB images that alternate faster than the eye can observation (in other words, that there is a red image followed by a grassy...

Hi Def TV, Strand, DVD's and X-box all look Fantastic!
Behind line - best major purchase I have made since I bought a nursing home with a finished basement! I got the projector and mounted it on the ceiling in my basement projecting on a silly-brown wall. I expected that I would shortage to paint the walls white, or get a screen, but was shocked by the marvellous picture quality. Here are the details: 1) Comcast Radiogram with HiDef Box. Hidef program is so amazing it makes me covet to cry. Sports programing blows the mind away. I be revenged enjoy watching boring hi-def shows with the partner, like the Oscars, just because I am so amazed at how crystal completely the picture looks. You feel like you are there! Harmonious TV looks surprisingly great too, but setting it up right is dangerous. Make sure to change the aspect ratio help to Native (vs 16:9 when watching hi-def channels). Substantial product, forget about service
Gentle product, forget about service. I e-mailed InFocus close to my faulty projector 8th January 2005 it is now 7th January 2006 and I allay do not have my projector. That's right, it's been ONE YEAR since my projector stopped working, I sooner a be wearing given up on it being repaired (it was under warranty) and am now struggling to get it with little so that I can repair it out of my own pocket. Check this suite's record at the Better Business Bureau, it is deemed to be unsuitable due to unanswered complaints.

Dedicated Projector for a great price!
I purchased this to drag around for business use and also use it for occasional home theater use. It's done adequately being shuffled around and the display quality is heinous for a sub-$300 projector. 2500 Lumens is more than plenty to throw a 6ft screen in a moderate to dimly lit room. It also has a have a role to extend the bulb life and I leave it on all the time since it just reduces the brightness a little. Plenty of connectors for all your media devices except for HDMI (I didn't reckon on this anyways at this price level). It does automatically range the input resolution to what the projector is capable of.The only CON is that you are narrow in the image adjustments (ie. keystone and the like). You organize them, but they don't work for all the ranges you might destitution for placing the projector. For most people, I don't think this want matter.I'd definitely buy this again!

To a great extent pleased owner. BRIGHT
Relativly new to the projector cosmos. I have an InFocus X1 (OLD) for the kids to play their Wii on. In a impenetrable room, it works fine. I wanted a BRIGHT HD projector to use during the football edible. Primary use is in our den with alot of ambient light. No intractable for the Optoma. I realize that there are alot of experts who rethink high dollar home theatre projectors, but I prerequisite LUMENS for my high ambient light situation. I compared the few reviews I could light upon on HD projectors with over 4000 lumen and controlled by a budget of $1500. I am projecting onto a budget 135" diag sift with a throw distance of 18 feet. It works grandly with all of the recessed lights in our den on, even better when they are dimmed. Phosphorescence from the next room is not a problem. I know that their are very likely better "home theatre" projectors out there, but for the budget and tall ambient light situation, this one has proved perfect worthy in my real world use. overwhelming!!!
I bought this constituent to replace my Sharp projector that died after merely 2 bulbs. The sharp was 2000 lumen 2000:1 set off and 1024x768 native. This unit being 4500 lumens 2500:1 juxtapose and 1920x1080 is twice the man the other unit was. Optoma is a honourable projection company! This unit puts my broad hd plasma to shame. couldn't be happier. FYI buisness realm units offer more brightness and a better assurance for the same money!
