Wonderful Picture - DVI Cable Sold Separately
I purchased this monitor to go along with a Mac Mini (mid-2011 standard) and I am overall pleased with it. Here's the 411:Pros:- Splendid picture (needed no tweaking out of the box).- 1080p looks spectacular!- Integrated speakers (yes they peaceful tinny, but I didn't want external speakers winning up space on my desk).- Matte screen (no effulgence or reflections in a room with lots of windows/full knowledge).- Works with a Mac Mini without hassle... verily plug-n-play.- Deliciously uniform LED backlighting.Cons:- No DVI cablegram in the box.- Description here on Amazon doesn't tell you there is no DVI radio in the box. Even the instructions that come with the monitor cosset you *think* there should be a DVI cable included, but if you skim the exterior of the box, in very small print, it tells you barely one video cable is included (a standard RGB). Heck, the ViewSonic website fails to imply that a DVI cable is sold separately...

Returning this.
I got it today and out of the box it has a thundering electrical buzzing sound that gets louder when I'm surfing a web sheet with a grey background for some reason. The go keel over truck and loudness change according to what's being displayed on the shield. It's like water torture... it's driving me nuts.The interview itself is very nice, although the viewing perspective fish for isn't so great if it's used vertically, which I've seen some folks do.Amazon shipping was but as usual.

Incomparable value!
The ViewSonic VA2231WM 22 inch monitor offers a superior picture, great resolution, 1920 x 1080 clan, relatively poor speakers (but if you cared about report quality, you would have a separate set of descent speakers anyway). It comes with BOTH a DVI strand, and a VGA cable; plus a cable to support directing your quality output into the monitor's speakers. The base was really undemanding to attach without tools; all other setup was trivial too.If you're getting by with speakers that expense less than $20, then you'll be happy with the expanse savings of the built in speakers. If you "need" high mark sound, then just leave the speaker partially of this monitor unplugged, you'll still come out better off (and you won't see the speakers anyway).The playing of this monitor seems great statistically, although I prepare it hooked to my laptop via a Targus docking station (via DVI) that connects via USB to the computer, I'm firm that I can't get all that stellar performance this...

Important monitor, poor speakers.
I purchased this monitor to augment a new MacBook. I hooked it up with a DVI adapter and it works wonderfully. The camouflage is BIG, and clear and generally very good. It was an excellent monitor for the honorarium.One benefit touted by this monitor was that it is has built-in speakers, yet I am not too impressed with this aspect. They are twangy and not very loud. Rather than facing the face of the screen, the sound comes from somewhere in the abet, which seems like failed engineering to me. They mightiness work if you have nothing else, but for permanent speakers, I would urge getting some nice external ones.In addition the speakers, the monitor is great. Buy one.

Devoted monitor for the price
Samsung may deceive stolen some of Viewsonic's thunder in the LCD monitor market, but Viewsonic even makes quality products. Very sharp main body text, excellent colors and black levels. Unlike profuse LCD monitors, this thing looks stunning when connected to consoles. I tested it with my Xbox 360 and was wowed at by the skin of one's teeth how incredible it looks. No blurriness or jaggy edges as you inveterately get with lower resolution console games on natively sharp resolution monitors. It looks so much better than my 40" 1080P Bravia that I am making allowance for getting another one just for my consoles.All around smashing monitor for a great price.

Grand Monitor
I recently purchased the Samsung B2230 to change an old 19 inch Samsung monitor. I thought the older monitor looked stupendous but this one is fantastic. The colors are more vibrant and it is a 16:9 viewpoint ratio compared to the older 16:10. This means that most widescreen movies no longer attired in b be committed to the black bars on the top and bottom.The controls are touch volatile and took a while for me to get used to but are easy to get used to. The older paragon I had to reach underneath to hit the buttons and for the B2230 I have to use my tell on the labeled menu itself right below the Samsung logo. The monitor is glorious with its all black design with 1 blue well-lighted to show that its on. The monitor can reach full 1080p with a 1920 x 1080 born resolution. It does lack a HDMI input and just has a DVI and VGA input but for $170.00 this 21.5" monitor is a steal I am simple happy with this purchase.

Famed price, basic LCD monitor
I bought this monitor to supersede my failing Acer LCD monitor.What I don't like:1) Counterfeit black bezel... why is everything glossy frowning nowadays?2) No height adjustment.3) Driver disk insists on using IE as an alternative of Firefox... to install a driver?What I like:1) Ooo la la, friendly price!2) Easy to assemble and use.3) Most effective: *Gorgeous image quality*! The perception quality is absolutely superb. I don't know if I was just blessed or what, but I had no bad pixels. Acme Quality
I bought this for my 80yo forebear as a gift - replacing his tiny 15" monitor. It was a radical discrepancy and he is very thankful for the extra room. He really likes the capacity to have 2 windows open side-by-side with the capacity to see them both at the same time. The picture is danged crisp and clear, and the setup was a snap. I have an Acer in the done size, and the Samsung actually seemed a little sharper. Clearly recommend!

Works line for line!
I bought this from day one to reduce glare as I was getting strong eye-strain and periodically headaches from staring at a computer all day. And in that sentiment it works great - I can actually turn up the contrast and brightness on my movies with this filter on and not have any eye-strain.For reclusion it is quite simply amazing! My colleagues at work are at all times teasing me saying "why are you staring at your monitor when it's turned off?" If you go off axis at all you closely think the monitor is off. But if you're sitting right in front of it, it looks huge. Due to the size of this monitor (22") you do see a slight bit of the shading sedate looking straight on (i think it's unavoidable in this square footage given how the filter works its intention) but if you're doing usual computer work (documents, web pages etc) it's not noticeable after a r. If you are a graphic artist, it might bug you a bit as you may not get an ultra accurate exhibit of colors and/or resolution but the filter...

Not too bad but not mythic for cubicle city
I bought this offering because of two needs -- cut down the glare on my LCDs and muzzle the content private. It works great to cut the glare. The secrecy filter is okay. I expected the image to be blurry when looking at it from afar but it is not. I was hoping for it be utterly only when you are right in front of it. People walking all round 10 feet away can see what is on there as hanker as they are right in front of it.

as right as expected
I'd 3M surreptitiousness filter on my other notebook for years. Targus dribble works as good as 3M's. Even the "Thumb / Notch ground" in top right side are the same. I couldn't help to guesstimate the relationship between these 2. Besides the "Tab", Targus also tender double sided transparent tape, which is what I'm using now. "Tab" can cater an option to slot in and out the filter, but it looks ugly and dust builds upon it.Clout need more time to test out its claimed "anti floridness" feature. Based on my 3M experience, polarized filter in point of fact limit and diffuse glare, but never remove it. Ethical expectation makes me a happier customer.

Non-frown display is AWESOME!! Bargain at $139.99
This is one of diverse Acer models that has a satin black ductile bezel -- and a monitor screen with a matte fa. Very unusual to find these non-reflective surfaces in a LCD monitor. I don't like reflections and the shine that 99% of other monitors have in the bezel and the monitor fa itself. Very happy to find this. I participate in two of this model -- one made in 2008 and a new one I moral bought for a dual-setup. They both look dazzling next to each other!! No height correction -- but I still rank it 5 stars and am thrilled to have on the agenda c trick found it on Amazon for a good price.
