Loving terrible Experience Streaming, Blu-Ray & External File Playback
Chose this dummy because it had streaming, DLNA, and wireless built-in (you don't impecuniousness a separate dongle). I have not been disappointed in any of its functions. Wireless connectivity was a breath - setup was straightforward and this model accepts a 32-rectitude WPA2 security key (unlike previous LG TVs and Blu-ray player models which were circumscribed to 18-20 characters, as I discovered when I bought a wireless dongle for our TV!). The wireless acquaintance seems to be much more stable than with the other wireless devices we suffer with. I occasionally have to turn off and on again to get a connection on startup, but this is unsurprising noted how flaky our router is ... :-)Blu-ray playback is really all right. Our first Blu-ray disc looked grainy and I was concerned until I understand various forum discussions that criticized this cinema transfer. Many Blu-ray movies are apparently intentionally grainy because this duplicates the "film" know-how that the director intended. You can use the movie...

A Match up Steps Up From the BD390, But Not Perfect. (Yet)
I bought this player a month ago and wanted to recess and get some ample use time with it before I hand a review. The LG BD670 is my second standalone blu-ray player, where my beginning was the LG BD390 (2009 model). (It also really says something when in 2009 I paid $330 for the BD390, yet only 2 years later pay not $154 for the BD670.) I decided to go with LG again because of my occurrence with past performance and they give all the features I hanker after. As with most blu-ray players like this one firmware updates are a obligated to, so as soon as I got the player connected to my network (wireless) I got it updated to the latest firmware. So far I am moderately impressed with most, but not all aspects of this player. There are 3 first viewing methods I use to watch videos with this player: discs (30%), USB (30%) and streaming/wireless (40%). I'll afford detailed reviews of these since they're what I use.* DISCS: With both the gift to stream AND watch video files via the USB port (as...

salutary support samba linux mediatomb netflix amazon vod pandora
Upsides: Pandora works nicely. Some other small internet radio options.Netflix interface presentable. The best thing here is the SAMBA, CIFs or Windows line sharing (Whatever you call it) is nice. Works razor-sharp with Linux, works fine with MediaTomb upnp server. Couldn't on right transcoding options, but didn't need it... Sunday with mp4's ripped h.264 and does mp3. plays spin video files natively no problem. Pause, rewind, rabbit forward over streaming (cifs or upnp).LCD panoply shows timecode when playing streams from samba or upnp.Bought logotype to have single device for netflix and home media serving.Plays mp3's nicely.Happier than ROKU for me since it does SAMBA and UPNP for well-versed in streaming, wasn't clear if Roku did that.Wi-FI, wired.Oh, and it plays BD's too, I tested one, but not my drill reason for purchase.Unit stays cool, is winsome and small and does what I need.Downsides: no screensaver in pandora, fearing waste-in...

Does the Job
PERFORMANCEThe (extreme definition) Blu-ray movies played on the DB-D5500 are fabulous, (touchstone low definition) DVDs are much clearer than played on my old DVD player. Nothing more needs to be said.PROS/CONS1) The BD-D5500 has a loading tray, which encourages narrowest sense handling of the disks by the edges. (Many more costly players are "slot loading")2) Despite the grumble of one reviewer, it is the standard width (17"), exactly the nonetheless as my old DVD player and my receiver.3) The controls are illuminated, and so, easy to perform even in a dark room, but the controls are identified on the contrary by symbols. Seeing in the dark is good, feeling in the sunless would be even better---that is, with my old Sony DVD player, the button on the far fist was on/off, the button on the far right was open/close---so I did not even tease to look at the panel to know what button to persuade. In my opinion the Sony was more ergonomically designed.4) The controls are cover...

Uncorrupt Review After Three Days Of Use
I good received this player from Amazon three days ago. There are predetermined features of this product that exceed my confidence.1.The Blu-ray disk reading is very fast. This is compared to the Panasonic DMP-DB60 Blu-ray that I had a while ago. This one is almost 10 times faster than the Panasonic DMP-DB60. I am particular pleased by its fast reading capability.2.You can connect a assemblage storage device to this machine to the USB port. I initially meditation the USB ports were for small storage devices such a snazzy drive or thumb drive, like many earlier kind Blu-ray/DVD players. But after I tried to plug a 500GB extraneous hard drive into it, all the multi-media files on the urge were quickly recognized by the player. The reading was fast. I was pleasantly surprised by that.3.In addition to its high quality video output, the audio create is also very powerful. I connect this player to my "Logitech Z-5500 THX-Certified 5.1 Digital Ambience Sound Speaker System", which is the best PC...

Excellent player
Owned it for connected with a week so far. I read the other reviews and have not seen or sagacious any of the same issues they have had with regards to apps and disc playability. There were notwithstanding how two firmware updates that I downloaded automatically after bootup and installed - these in all probability fixed the issues that others have seen. So far it has been a brilliant player with fast loading and nice apps. It interfaces satisfactorily with my Samsung HDTV and have only expert good things with it. I tried many exceptional Bluray discs including Avatar and have had no problems. I would endorse.(UPDATE 7-7-11)Downgraded from 5 stars to 1. The player took a deposit on me...in a general sense. A couple of blu-rays were not playing perfidiously well (or at all). Mr. & Mrs. Smith had constant juttering of the image, Knight and Day would give us an error saying that a software update was required by the maker (had the latest firmware btw). I called Samsung consumer support and they had me...

Even Smiling -- Beat all expectations
To utter a frame of reference, I replaced a Panasonic BD35 with this Panasonic DMP-BDT210 it is hooked to a Sony HD AV 7.1 receiver and to a Panasonic 50" Plasma TV, and I organize a LinkSys Wireless Router (802.11n).It arrived today and I opened the box at encircling 6PM, ready for what I expected was going to a long non-stop, just seems to usually work out that way these days, figured it would be issues with getting it on the network, so I started in.Nothing risky for my hook-up, just one HDMI connection to the receiver and I second-hand the one that was there from the BD35, and the power rope, that was it for wires.Put the batts (supplied) in the remote and turned it on, pops up hurriedly to an Easy Set-Up menu that you can get through in a few seconds and start playing Blu-ray DVD's. I wanted to snag it to the network and I always like to look around at the options, so I opted to go to the other set-up menu. The Nonchalantly Set-up takes you to the option to set...

High-minded Player for the new model year 2011
The player is consequential. The menu system is the best I've used in a player and I returned both a Sony BD560 and a Samsung 6500 earlier getting this unit. Just a few notes for those that sway be thinking of getting it this player.#1 The internet options are considerable, new options to me like Amazon streaming and Skype, confused with the mainstay apps like Netflix, Pandora, and scads more. make this player very attractive to the streaming and online performance user.#2 The firmware the unit currently ships with thinks fitting not let you get into the Internet streaming apps or anything for that import until you update the firmware. Updating the firmware from the 1.09 firmware it ships with whim not work as of this date via wireless or wired internet connections. The unessential option is to burn the frmware to a disc. This you regard as would be straight foward, but it isn't. Using Windows 7 or Vista, you Have to create an ISO 9660 ONLY... I went owing to 3 coasters before this player could...

Netflix Works NOW!!!
I bought this hoping Netflix would toil as well as being an awesome blu-ray player. When I got it, the blu-ray player worked flawlessly...the Netflix though did not. I was kind of bummed because it had the same issue multifarious of the reviewers here had posted about, so I felt like the forewarning signs were there. I did the typical thing and called Panasonic, they said they were successful to work on it. I took their words as just that, words. Words of Panasonic saying something that would not in the least come to fruition. I was wrong. Today I received an email effect to my complaint saying they released a new patch for Netflix with a new firmware update. Variant 1.63. I went home, skeptical, updated, and "skadouche", it works. Terrible. With everything working, it being wireless (built in), and plays disc with least load time and zero disc noise, I effectively recommend this player. It has a Netflix button on the remote, and now it has aspire. I felt it my duty to come post about the...

So far so facts
Bought the DMP-BDT220 to make good on a DMP-BDT110 that Amazon agreed to take burdening someone after the return period had already ended. That player was beastly. From day one it suffered from constant audio and video dropouts when watching both discs and Netflix streaming. I unconditional to let it ride hoping an eventual firmware upgrade would cure-all the problem but that didn't work. So I read that Panasonic had principled released their 2012 lineup of Bluray players and I pronounced I would give them one more chance. I own varied Panasonic products and most of them are top notch so I was hoping the DMP-BDT110 was scarcely an anomaly. The 220 arrived today and I quickly connected it using solely an HDMI cable and the power cable since it is wifi inclined to. It connected with no problem to my network and after entering my watchword, Netflix worked fine - no video problems, no audio problems. Lifetime will tell if that continues. Popped in a Bluray disc to check a depart that out and watched for a few hours and once again...

This WiFi Blu ray Player ROCKS!! Its the most beneficent of its class!
First I purchased this Panasonic DMP-BDT220 WiFi Blu-Ray DVD Player, I had researched in essence every player available on the market. There's a lot to pick from, but I wanted to bargain the player that had the best all-around features, and a great value that would fit my budget. And after looking at a dozen or so several players, I concluded that this Panasonic player was the crush pick in its price range. Other players, force various other options, a varied amount of output connections, and may define on-board memory configurations, etc. While this player does not list the memory amount, it appears to be sufficient enough to anxiety streaming media (such as Netflix, Amazon Video or Hulu Bonus and play it back without any hesitation or pauses. After receiving the player, I hooked it up, and it worked exactly right from the start. Found my WiFi network without any problems. I entered the asylum password information and it was connected to my WiFi network and my Internet...

Capital, just be aware of no component video output
In preference to I purchased this player, I already owned two other Panasonic Blu-ray players. They are remarkable value and performance.I bought this model to return my horrible Pioneer Elite BDP-31FD; got to be one of the worst players in the the public. Crashed all the time requiring hard reset, couldn't explore in depth and was sooooo slooooowwww.In contrast, this Panasonic player is so tight. Just seconds to eject and it's so fast to get to just beside any disc menu. Most Blu-rays I have are rich on the disc menu in less than 30 seconds. Scanning through movies is flawless. There are so many other features it offers, which I'll let you know in the other reviews. The UI is very pleasing. Wireless and wired network kin and firmware updating was so easy (I have "g" with WPA2).THE ONE Sentiment I did not do my homework well enough on was determining if it had component video out (1080i) for my non-HDMI HD 1080i tv. I put forward digital audio optical out, which this...

This is a grand Streamer / Bluray and DVD player
This is a fearsome Streamer/Bluray/DVD player. I haven't experienced any issues whatsoever playing move in reverse Bluray disks. Boot times are very proper with the disks I tested. Everything played retire from perfectly with stunning picture quality. At any rate, I really purchased this player for its streaming abilities. Sony players were dinged in the late for a poor Netflix experience. Sony have secured this with a updated Netflix interface that supports 1080p and Dolby Digital+ streams. Similarly Amazon VOD supports Dolby Digital bitstream audio, and VUDU and HULU+ are unchanged from the 2011 players, but toil fine. Its also nice to have "crackle" on there so you can ogle the odd Seinfeld episode when you fancy.I also tested the player with a DNLA server. Sony look as if to recommend Serviio (free) so I think they should test the DLNA features of the player with this software. I tested photos, music and video and all things played back perfectly.Anyway, a great flag/disk player. Highly...

Accomplished all around player(review with light "test" info)
This isn't a wonderful in depth review, but will give you more info that most determination in a fairly brief summary: First off, I am a Sony TV guy who bought TWO Panasonic Blu-Ray players conclusive year due to their seeming superiority(reviews, pro and online stores).Maiden step for any modern electronic device, update your firmware. My initial update took across 5 minutes. I also recommend registering at internet.sony.tv as in the recent some Sony products won't connect to certain services until you do. I connected to AmazonVideo on Request and Netflix, BEFORE I registered it, so they may have responded to complaints and dropped the demand, but incase there is a service that require it get it out of the way, it alone takes a minute if you have a Sony account alreadyNetflix app(they upgraded! Sony fans delighted!): One glaring fault with (past/pre-2012?) Sony visual products is their Netflix app, as for years Sony clear to have a proprietary interface, and...

More wisely than expectations
I diverge with the other reviewer about performance and je sais quoi of this product. Thats why I am writing this study. This is my fist BP player. I been using WD TV Live hub for a extensive time. I will compare it with WD for the matching features. Here are my discrete ratings5/5 for Network configuration. It was flawless I was done with both wired and wireless in span of minutes.5/5 for Netflix experience. Interface is anyhow as provided by WD.5/5+++ for YouTube. Interface is much much change one's mind then WD. Searched videos keeps playing continuously. Light access to playlist and subscribed channels.5/5 for Amazon Video. perfect and 5.1 sound playback.4/5 for other internet contents. WD has more options.1/5 for internet browser. Appalling experience. Very difficult to work with interface. Wii has much mangle internet browser then this.----0/5 for DLNA playback. This is the worst department.
