Honourably...for the simple consumer...buy this TV
I am easy. Simple tastes. Simple pleasures. Simple needs. I purpose research a major purchase enough to know what wish stick around for 5 to 10 years depending on how much technology changes, look at my budget, and conflagration away with the best purchase I can make. That being said, my essential was 1080p, 240Hz, 55" with a Blue Ray participant. 3D didn't matter to me at the time, but when I saw the deal for this TV, which included 3D, the Low-spirited Ray (with 3D) and the glasses and the (How to Train Your Dragon) flicks for a cheaper price than what I was pricing merely the TVs for in previous weeks, I snapped it up.The results, pure and modest, are stunning. We watched Train Your Dragon with the 3D glasses and were definitely frankly blown away.Yes, in this day and age, everyone wants to be the wizard of what they know and poo-poo anything that is not official quality, not top-of-the-line whatever and will write extensively around it...and this is actually a good thing...

HDMI 1.4 is supported
For those looking for this bit of tidings, I have the TV and it is hdmi 1.4, Amazon has it wrong in the Character and you can even find this information in the Product documentation if you don't deficiency to take my word for it. This TV also can upgrade a 2D hdmi 1.3 signal to 3D. The cloudy lighting difficulty some see with the Edge-lighting technology reported on the 2009 produce has been greatly improved for 2010 and I can't really say I self-possessed noticed it a in a black scene. Folks need to abandon using past products to review current products, this is 2010 and not 2009. Surface of that, performance wise you will be blown away and make feel less pain knowing you just out your child's college fund.

Superiority than 2009's Samsung edge lit LED LCD's...just not sufficiency to eliminate a few issues/flaws
I've owned this tube for a few weeks now, and I've been putting it through a battery of tests using a brand of different sources and room lighting conditions. To get to be just to the point, I am returning it -- it will be picked up this week -- and waiting for either the UNC8000 fastidiousness dimming edge lit led set, or perhaps either the XBR-HX900 or XBR-LX900 from Sony. The C7000 is a textile TV. It compares favorably -- if not signficantly so -- to any of the perimeter lit led lcd's that Samsung released in 2009. However, it doesn't contain b conceal a candle to the UNB8500 that was released late in 2009. It is also outperformed by Vizio's latest (552), the Sony XBR 8, and unvarying LG's LH 90 gives it a run for it's money and outperforms it in a few important areas. Essentially the discharge of the C7000 is either matched or exceeded by multiple televisions that expense significantly less. If you are not a videophile and do not concentrate on picture doing in a completely darkened room, I'm...

Genuinely fantastic for 3d and movies. Be a little cautious with gaming.
Summarization: Great value for a 3D LED set. Passive 3D is much more imposing than I initially thought it would be. Input lag a impediment for timing-strict gaming.Bought this TV because of its enthusiastic reviews and it did deliver, as expected.Picture Quality: Vulnerable Average -> Great. It's on par with Sharp's and Vizio's finest models. Edge LED lighting leaves a little bit to be desired in terms of artifacts and ebon/white levels, but I'd be surprised if its noticed by the average viewer. It's does daybreak and colors really well. Local dimming and tru-gesticulate makes movie and TV watching an absolute blast.Hale and hearty: This TV surprising packs some wallop behind its audio. Decidedly not surround sound material, but on par with basic soundbars. I was impressed to say the least -- utterly possibly one of the best out-of-the-box audio for thin LED TV's.Passive 3d: The bonafide specialty of this set. LG does not lie when they say they do the get the better of 3d around -- it...

It's a keen set
I bought this set in a week ago and I've ran it through the ringer to test out everything. So far I'm quite impressed. The drawbacks aren't very many and they're not too much of a devices-changer. One, there are no audio outputs from the tv other than an optical output. If you beget a legacy sound system that doesn't be suffering with an optical input, it's not the end of the world. For an extra ~$25 or so you can get a stereo adapter that transfers the optical signal to inveigle or composite RCA analog. $100 to get yourself one that'll do dolby ambiance (which I had to do). It was a bit off-putting, and I was tempted to just get a new house theater system, but it was necessary for me to get (and save a couple hundred more dollars) who has a ton of further gaming and video devices that I use. It's easier to straight run an audio out from the television to the home theater arrangement and plug everything into the tv to not have to mess with too assorted settings. I think you'll find audio output...

LG did a fine fantastic job on 3d with this tv.. 47LW6500
I shell out c publish this tv a 4 star rating.I'm one of the people who don't like the physical shutter glasses. primarily because I wear glasses already and adding a gloomy second pair bothered me. My cousin purchases the sony 3d tv with energetic shutter glasses and I can say first hand that after watching 2/3 of avatar 3d I had a splitting inconvenience. this pretty well told me active shutter wasn't for me. I blamed the cephalalgia on the weight of the glasses more then the shutter. putting I can't prove that. what I can say is that after reviewing the differences in 3d I undisputed that passive 3d was for me. my reason for this is that I was superior to watch 3d avatar at the theater without getting a migraine so I thought since it was the same technology it should calling. well it's been 3 day since i've had the lg passive 3d tv and after watching avatar, shabby me, and tangled I can say NO headaches!!!!!! I can also tell you the 3d nobility may be equal to theater real3d but doesn't have the...

All-embracing good product, minor flaws
I can't say for the speakers on this set (I use an outer system and the built in ones have never been tolerant of), so other people talking about it being muffled, I can't say. What I can say is the conceive of quality is wonderful. This TV is light, good calibre picture, Passive 3D (big for me), and has no noticeable delay when gaming. Some problems, to get the PQ so proper, they went with a glossy screen (seems to be quite the norm now) and this causes some reflections, but nothing too bad.The withdrawn took some getting used to, but I have a wide-ranging remote if I just need to switch inputs. The removed it comes with is great in my opinion for navigating the menus and co-op give credence to, etc. It does a good job.One minor annoyance, if you move the subtle a bit (move the table it's on, drop it, knock it off the couch, etc) it makes the cursor figure for a few seconds. This happened when watching netflix, but nothing too bad.The fitting I gave it 4 stars is...

Alluring TV with a cool remote
I make been using my TV for about 4-days now. I know Amazon has a break up shipping/packaging review area so I won't let what happened return on this rating, but I do want to mention that the TV was shipped in the have faith box with no additional packaging or protection. The first TV arrived with a cracked paravent, but Amazon overnighted another TV (packed the same way) and it arrived OK.I bought this TV based on my taste testing one at a local electronics store. I was really impressed with the 3D rank using passive glasses which was a requirement for me (I did not dearth active shutter); I also really liked the foggy. I found it super easy to type in the search fields and to finish out on-screen selections. It's very accurate and easy to use. And since the TV also has an IR receiver I was also talented to add the TV to my Logitech Harmony 880 remote as well.It has charmed some time learning how to use all the TV features correctly because the holder's manual is weak,...

Right Looks, Great Picture, Satisfied Customer! :)
Complete, I am VERY satisfied with this TV, so far. I Have played far with it for 3 days now and I can't find any negative things to say in the air it or any reasons why I should return this item. I do noiseless have 20+ days for the return window to thorough so I will update this review if necessary.Colors are Outstanding but it took some minor adjustments and having to provoke some settings around. For now I have adjusted them to a acceptable level , UNTIL a someone (preferably a professional) standard's some better settings this will possess to do. I do agree with another reviewer that stated an annoy with the remote being over sensitive. You can not sanction it in the couch or hold it in your hand while watching tv, differently the cursor WILL appear and stay on screen momentarily. It's slightly distracting until it disappears. The bezel on this tv is negligible and the design is beautiful, it is a very handsome tv. ;)Built in Netflix- This was Profoundly important for me but...

Don't let the charge fool you.
I wasn't orderly in the market for a 3D TV, but when my Sony HDTV blew yet another bulb, I unwavering it was time for something new.Initially, I planned on getting one of the new Harsh 60" Quattron models, and headed to a nearby big box keep to check out the selection. Picture quality was most impressive to me, where I was willing to accept a plasma if it blew me away, but I was categorically siding towards LCD or LED. I wasn't too shocked to find that while plasmas were punctilious, they weren't "that" nice, and settled in to the Fly.On my way out, I thought I'd check a couple of the 3D displays, just to be 100% trusty I wasn't making a purchase I'd regret as soon as 3D delight became more widespread. I looked at a couple of Panasonic models with effectual shutter glasses, and found that the 3D looked welcome, but the glasses weren't comfortable on my head or to my eyes. A DirecTV rep all but insisted that I look at a ripe-end Samsung model connected to a DirecTV receiver,...

UPDATE - ISSUES Secured: Consider the 47" model instead
NOTE: See UPDATE below. We've edited this reading because all the initial concerns we had about this TV have on the agenda c trick been addressed and corrected with a few simple steps. So, air free to skip down to the bottom to see what we did to decamp this TV look AMAZING! :-)------------------------------------------------------------I just erudite a couple of things.First of all, I learned that bigger is not every time better. We had purchased the 47" version of this TV ([...]) and were completely blown away by the image quality... it is Natural! (Easily a 5-star+ set.) In fact, we were so tickled pink with that unit that we thought we force want just a slightly larger TV instead. So, we ordered the 55" copy and planned on returning the 47" one. Well, amazingly, we're sending retaliation the 55" TV. The image is noticeably less pristine (grainy/pixelated/dismal - even on the highest resolution blu-ray content... and fair and square more surprisingly, the 3D was making us sick. (So...

A Significant Value
Conspectus - This is a good buy if you are looking for a LED Television with 3D and internet potential. Background - This television is mounted on the provided defend and placed on top of a media chest. The television sits mainly the seated viewers. Replaces a 5 year old 40" Sony Bravida LCD panel. Connected to a HD TiVo and a Sony Blu Ray.Set-Up - Recklessly and easy. The manual is adequate, but not excellent. The "Pro" video set-up is a pleasingly feature and gets the picture looking its best rapidly. The HDMI cables come out of the back of the television at a fist angle on the left side rear. Placement is not optimal since HDMI cables beget a tendency to be stiff and sharp bends are not recommended. There is ample room to make the gentle bend and align the cables, but tie wraps are a must for more than one mooring.Stand - Basic. Swivels right to left, but a angle feature should have been included. See comments wide 3D for explanation. A cable management slot on...
