Eternal and True Spirit of Christmas
When people go into a flick picture show theatre they expect to be entertained. Audiences desire to be scared, amused, curious, sad, and hopefull. Believe it or not, this dim provides all of those elements and then some. I've impute to the comments by people who gave passed this mist on as either "too scary to children" or "just plain stale with no plot" And I agree with several people who take responded to such comments. This film isn't booming to give you instant gratification halfway through. If you don't fool two hours to spare then you aren't going to comprehend what this movie is about. Sure the draw was invisible at times, but I don't think the point of the movie was to receive the audience follow a plot. The point was to reveal or in some cases put in mind of people of the simplistic faith or child like judge we once had in our lives.Think of the characters themselves and what they set forth. Hero Boy reminds us of people who are caught in between sect and doubt. Do we trust what we...

I order admit, 2 years ago I purchased The Polar Make known 3D with the red and blue glasses.... it about made me deranged when I watched it. The colors made me dizzy and the drawing was heavily distorted. This on the other hand was a puff of fresh air! The 3D quality on this blu-ray disc is absolutely fine with minimum "ghosting". One stand out go out in particular is portrayed on the front cover of the Blu-Ray case, the guard skating on the ice. The 3D effects are so fantastic here that I had to operate it over a few times. Its enough to make you say WOW. Also, the undiminished North Pole scene is absolutely beautiful notably the zoom outs showing the large Christmas tree and all the kids and elves local it.I would highly recommend this to anyone with a 3D goggle-box! The picture is stunning and the 3D effects are breathtaking! The world of Blu-Ray 3D is growing, and this one positively stands as one of the top 3D releases so far!

Mayhap the best application of 3D among Blu-Ray 3D discs so far
This disc represents the most desirable example of 3D photography available for Blu-Ray 3D at this time (17-Nov-2010). And, where one dominion fear that it would be undermined by insipid commentary from Jim Carrey, that expect turns out to be misplaced, with only a few brief exceptions.Having done 3D (it should very be called "stereo") photography in the past, I can say that there are ways to do it fine, and ways to do it poorly. Poor technique, and/or difficult rationale matter, lead to artifacts (like distracting cases of the left-wing image bleeding through into the right idol, and vice versa - imperfect presentation technology is a agent in such cases, but stereo photographers know they visage such problems, and failure to allow for them shows a want of care) and, in extreme cases, even to difficulty in mentally assembling the 3D chapter. The stereo photography on this disc is not perfect in every took place, but, overall, it is the best I've seen yet from any Blu-Ray 3D title (and...

most correct color I've seen
I am a scuba diver and I possess dove all over the world including the South Pacific.Innumerable friends ask me what it looks like when we scuba dip. White balance is extremely difficult when shooting pictures directed water, and changes constantly. You need to take a milk-white card and rebalance the camera every few minutes. This flicks, shot in the South Pacific, New Guinea, New Zealand, The Expert Barrier Reef etc, is the most accurate ocean silver screen I've ever seen. They have somehow accurately captured the rainbow of colors we see when we club. You will never see anything as bright and colorful as tropical fish and coral. The coat crew must have a huge array of lights to scion this.Fish "school", move together, so nearsighted larger predator fish, sharks and such, want think they are one big fish instead of a thousand inconsequential fish and not attack them. This movie shows thousands of flat fish schooling together, which is a fascinating and hypnotic activity to watch...

Admirable scenery with funny commentary.
I rented this motion picture at Blockbuster to watch on a .IMAX offers many several movies that cover a wide range of topics that are gigantic for children and adults.Needless to say, the quality of the movie is fully breathtaking. The movie shows various animals and species in their unaffected underwater habitat that most of us simply longing never get to see in our lifetimes.Jim Carrey's narration is an added tip to the overall entertainment value. He narrates with a calm yet charming voice with small jokes you and your blood will be sure to enjoy. With stunning images and intense colors and scenery, this movie must not be missed. The not drawback to this movie is the length at under an hour which will-power leave you either wanting more or simply watching it...

You'll aversion yourself in the morning
I wanted to like this, I positively did. I like science. I especially like physics and astronomy. And, as a somewhat new 3D owner, I'm still pretty tolerant. Here's what the yield info doesn't tell you. This is not an IMAX silver screen, or any other feature. It's one of those History Channel body of knowledge shows. There are short segments on each of the "7 Wonders of the Solar Set-up". The science is pretty simplistic. (The Sun is Hot, the Earth is Attractive, Saturn has Rings). The places where we put one's hands back from commercial and they recap what has been in the too soon part of the show and what's coming up after the next commercial cut off comprise more than 10% of the content. They capability have improved it by at least editing this as if we were accepted watch it commercial free. The 3D quality? Very skint. The primary 3D is an animated frame that shadowboxes the edges of the 2D measure ingredients. By animated I mean drawn, not moving - it's pretty stationary. The unproductive little animated...

3D Evaluation by a 3D Connoisseur
My ratings are based on balance on the QUALITY OF THE 3D, not the video content. Not counting the repeating graphics, There are prevalent 14 out of screen effects that extend regarding 10% of the way, from the screen to the viewer. Another 3 almost 25%. For 10 seconds stars fly OOS around 50% and one makes it to 70%. Rocks OOS enveloping 25% for 10 seconds, leafs blow by up to 25% for 15 seconds, a minion graphic, swings out to 40% and a dolphin's nose extends to concluded 35%. 18 times the same simplistic space dispatch council extends 10% and at least 8 times a accurate overlay floats at 20%.Some short segments were so boring they didn't appear to be in 3D at all.Excess parallax undoubtedly visible in a few scenes. And yes, as other reviews have said, the graphics add a cheese constituent.Repeating graphics and some repeating scenes.*** If your not interested in the business matter, don't buy it just for the 3D ***MY 3D RATING = POOR to Objective(poor,...

"7 Wonders" is Wonderful
This 3D Blu-Ray exceeded my expectations. I was pregnant the same episode that originally aired on The Narrative Channel, probably with some gimmicky 3D effects added in (yes, I bought it anyway, hoping that I was wrong-headed). However, I was surprised to see (what I believe to be) some new, 3D to footage and some new narration recorded specifically for this releasing. The 3D effects are very good. Seeing tiny Mercury occultation the giant Sun in 3D is breathtaking as are some of the beautiful images of the rings of Saturn. Indubitable, most of it is CG, but that's fine because it looks actually great. The only poor CG has to do with the spacecraft in which you are presumably touring the solar system. Really, my only kick is that there is some substantial crosstalk in innumerable scenes, mostly when you see an object against the blackness of expanse. If that weren't true, I would have donn this release 5 stars instead of 4.My 2-year-old son is showing a lot of arouse in...

Non-Interrupt Action Flick
I LOVED the 4th installment of the Underworld Series. It was non-rest action and kept me completely engaged the whole tempo. There was a "cleansing" where the government killed all the Vampires and Lycans. Of movement, they never did get them all. Now it appears that the Lycans participate in been holding up somewhere and reproducing (yuk--there's a balmy picture that will burn your eyes perfect out of their sockets). This time, a 12-year old girlfriend shows up on the scene, and Selene just cannot let her get thrown to the wolves, so to speak one's mind. Everybody wants the little girl, but don't let anybody pigeon you. This is no "let's play doll house" kid!Kate Beckinsale does a wonderful job and is in her prime fighting the residual Lycans. There is lots of action, chasing, blood and guts, heads lopping off, etc. Selene is cold and MEAN! This was thoroughly enjoyable. Although I as usual do not watch bloody stuff like this, I am hooked on Underworld and thinks fitting definitely buy the...

The Underworld franchise is redeemed after momentary loss of Beckensale. A+ for action and mindless entertainment value.
By reason of God! Beckinsale returns. I had no difficulty watching Rhona Mitra, but Increment of the Lycans just hurt me. I hate seeing non-returning actors replaced. I musing the amputation of Beckensale would leave the franchise forever wintry and crippled from making new sequels. And while filled with clash, I struggled with the drop in CGI quality, especially for backgrounds. But pull someone's leg no fear. The budget is back, and it brought Beckensale with it. The franchise is redeemed and primed for more sequels. After a petulant recap of the first two movies' events, we are introduced to a near-coming in which the vampires and lycans (werewolves) have been discovered by humans. It is acknowledged in the film that `now these nonhumans are more than cock-and-bull story' and, not surprisingly given human nature, the humans militarized a "cleansing" to eradicate the vampires and lycans. In this medial of all this Selene (Beckinsale) is captured and cryogenically frozen. This is where the unobtrusive...

3D Judgement of Underworld Awakening... Filmed with 3D Cameras
To the spike: This action/horror hybrid was filmed using Red Epic 3D cameras on the set for most of the videotape, and the result? Excellent 3D in Underworld Awakening. When the talkie starts, it's in 2D highlighting the previous films, but then it switches to 3D and wow. For 3D, I meditate on it great when the foreground, mid ground and background pop really clearly from one another in depth so there's no misconstrue it's 3D. This is clearly the case with Underworld Awakening. The 3D is without a hitch comparable to Resident Evil Afterlife 3D, which acclimatized the Fusion Cameras as Avatar 1 did.Underworld Awakening 3D: Top achieve 3D that has excellent depth and pop, as well as some 'pop out' moments with Selene's conspicuous throwing stars and the Lycans attacking the screen. Dialect right slick and stylish action throughout and Kate Beckinsale is fun to be careful of. The main storyline takes place 12 years after the 2nd motion picture, Underworld Evolution.Movie: 8/10 Story was vital, but reveals unanswered...

Storyline differences between Extended Accumulator's Edition and Theatrical Release
I'm essentially interested in the storyline differences between special sets and their theatric counterparts, so here are the differences between the two (NOTE: SPOILERS Conclude). The extended collector's edition runs 16 minutes 28 seconds longer than the camp cut, and listed below are the major differences.1) The opportunity scene is different, and starts with Jake in a wheelchair on Sod, in a Blade Runner-esque Earth city. The view moves to scenes of Jake in his apartment, then entrancing liquid shots in a bar. Jake's narration of "I told myself I can obsolete any test a man can pass" and "They can fix the spinal if you got the money. But not on vet benefits, not in this thriftiness" are inserted during this new opening scene.Jake beats up a bar philanthropist who is mistreating a woman, and then Jake and wheelchair are unceremoniously thrown facing by bouncers into an alley. While in the alley, Jake meets the two RDA representatives who talk about him news of his...

Important Transfer to Blu-Ray
There are uncountable low score reviews purely based on the fact there was a rescue of this movie earlier this year and now the extended translation comes out feels like a marketing game. When the before all release happened it was known an extended version was coming, but some people righteous had to have it now. I just watched it on Netflix and waited for the extended rendition. I agree if you bought the first release version you arrange little real reason to buy the extended version, unless you admiration this movie and want the bonus features. Some of the other low scores talk take the 3D version coming, but that is weak reason for most people because most do not own and ordain not own a 3D TV set. If you do your research on 3D TVs you will find they clunky and costly. Unless you are entirety the few who have a 3D TV, then there is no reason to wait to buy this let out of Avatar if you enjoyed the movie. For the few who have never seen the silver screen, the key factors to consider is if you are a...
