42 Led Tv?

For the constant price I'm looking at two different tv's by Vizio. The one tv is a 42" LED LCD TV 120hz. The other tv is a 47" LCD TV 120hz. Is it greater to get a LED tv or a tv that is 5 inches bigger?

You get a higher Disparity Ratio from a LED TV then from a regular LCD TV. And yes, it saves power practice.

Premier day impression
See my uploaded pictures. I selected this TV based on largeness and the good picture I saw on this model at Sears. Purchased from Amazon after quotation shopping. UPS delivered a slightly scuffed up shipping box. The shipping box said it had the AUSYLJR panel. I compared the LG web install contrast ratio to the two different Amazon stated compare ratio and none agree. Installing the base with eight screws was undemanding. After my DW assisted me in carefully lifting the TV to the top of my dresser I was fit out for the smoke test. But first I noticed a small plant nick on the frame under the protective sticky stripe. One star deduction for this blemish. On power up the set went into a uninvolved set up mode but I was stopped cold when it first wanted to investigate OTA channels. I hooked up some powered rabbit ears and let it automatically do it's preoccupation. Once that was done I switched the input to an HDMI hawser from my cable box and all looked good. It was quite simple getting a WiFi connection. All I had to...

Genuine as regular HDTV, but Smart TV features mostly bad
Twin quality is great. This is a matt screen and that's a big with the addition of for me. Speakers/audio is acceptable. That's where it stops. The Shrewd TV and other features which were the main unholster for me, are unsatisfactory and poorly executed. The "Intelligent Sensor" to rectify pic brightness is a bit of a joke - it merely reduces it to the lowest flatten out possible; nothing intelligent about that. The Netflix streaming app works threadlike, and is pretty much the only one that works as expected; although it would be tidy if LG had streamlined and standardized the menu choices for adjusting artwork aspect ratio and video brightness presets (not nearby from within the app). The YouTube app is complete garbage.Hulu: I saw "Hulu" in a lot of the advertising materials but there is no app for it. You can access it via the Plex media server app, (which requires you to force the server running on your connected computer), but the menu steps you arrange to go thru to...

*Not* WiFi-Likely--yet
This TV provides an bar picture, with a very wide viewing position (for an LCD). However...On page 63 of the manual, it says "The TV's internal software was designed to profession with Panasonic's wireless adapter model DY-WL10." After irritating three non-Panasonic wireless adapters just to see if they would employment (they wouldn't), I purchased the Panasonic adapter, but, as the other reviewer discovered, the TV would not realize the DY-WL10. Panasonic's Netconnect site covers not 2011 television models--nothing about 2012 models. When I called Panasonic Stand today, I was told that, no, the DY-WL10 isn't compatible with any of the 2012 Panasonic models. The pattern that the support rep recommended is the DY-WL5, which isn't available yet; I can't pronounce it on Amazon, or even on Panasonic's own site. B&H Photo lists it for pre-instruct with a March 31st availability date. So, at least until that girl, this TV cannot use a wireless connection.Backup blueprint: I used...

Exceeded expectations.
Exceedingly great tv. Perfect size for my office/studio. Spit quality is excellent. I calibrated the tv using settings I ground with a quick google search. Sound is ok, but as with most unbroken screens it lacks a really impressive on board audio set up. Xbox 360 games look unbelievable. I've been playing Skyrim and Battlefield 3 and am blown away by the dead ringer. I fired up amazon prime (through Viera Mould) and watched Troll Hunter in HD. Again, beautiful perfect example inform (and awesome low budget Norweigian movie). And now a more recess consideration. I am an illustrator by trade and use a Wacom tablet and photoshop in my day to day employment. I purchased this tv with the intention of utilizing it as a third, staggering scale monitor for certain projects. A big reason I went for this specifically tv is the LED screen. I find it is much easier on my eyes when I am painting on camouflage for hours on end.So there you have it. Beautiful image dignity, a decent service lineup (Netflix, Prime, etc.),...

Greatest In It's Class
Bought this from Amazon nigh a month ago. Did A LOT of online and in store research looking for a 32"-40" LED TV.Looked at Vizio, Samsung, Sony, LG in addendum to Panasonic. After a month - I'm very satisfied with my variety. If you have read the reviews on this model here on Amazon you inclination see overall very good comments.Have seen some numbskull complaints about short power cord, and be enduring seen some about the wifi adapter(I'm using ethernet strand). And some average comments on the sound, but the major points of the TV are First-rate.There is one reviewer (C Reach) who claims to have gotten video settings online - THIS IS Complete BS. I HAVE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED - Does Not Exist.Farther down you will find a Pros and Cons list and my paint and sound settings. My settings were done using my eyes and ears no calibration equiptment. Each's taste and environment are different, so these are what look pure on mine. I will eventually test further with...

Proper TV but very clumsy "Smart" features & interface
The LG LS5700 is an OK TV. If I could, I'd announce it 2-1/2 stars. The LS5700's selling point is intended to be the "smart" features that let you connect to the Internet, get contentment from Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc. and share satisfied from other devices in your network. It does press a nice crisp HD picture after you tweak the color settings, and so-so common-sense, as expected. But if that's all you want in a TV there are less priceless alternatives. Unfortunately, the interface for using the "smart TV" features is Dialect right clumsy. And although the manual does a good job of showing how to link the TV, it has almost nothing on how to use the "smart" features. The built-in menus are putative to do that. The on-screen menus and LG's online support are token at best, and just plain wrong in one case (see lower). On the plus side, the TV connected easily to my home network, using either WiFi or an Ethernet guy. And the "smart" features do work, if you can stand the interface...

"necromantic remote" is pretty annoying
"Bewitchment remote" is pretty annoying. TV itself seems to be benevolent - reasonable sound, reasonable image. I decided to buy this example because of good viewing angle range and larger than average sound. I do not care much hither the 3D features that manufacturers are promoting. Please note - the "witchery remote" was the only one provided. IMHO this is one of those occasions when being cunning and creative trumped being useful. I really foist I would have a more traditional remote together with this TV. Changing options and settings is not unquestionably easy.

Lofty TV, but NO access to Amazon Prime Instant Videos
The small screen itself is great, and Netflix works like a miraculously. But there is NO access to Amazon Prime Instant Videos utterly this television, which I find incredible and inexpiable. (Review written on April 14, 2012.)

2 things:IPS Model quality, and Motion Picture Setting...
As a programmer and a gamer, I cause my share of expensive monitors (just ask my wife!). And the even LCD TV never satisfy my quality standard; colors are either too cartonish, dark is not black, and white is tinted blue. So I have only toughened plasma as TV. It's warm, have rich real color, it's unexcelled for movie night, there is no argument there. So for my next TV, which in my study and music room, I want to try something else, since I hoard up hearing the LED LCD are the bomb nowaday (even most of them however do not look as life like as good plasma to me), the vitality usage is low, thin and light. So I try my first LED LCD with this exemplar after researching the latest 2012 models within my "2nd tv" toll range.Sales person kept pushing LG (got voodoo wand, apps, thin bezel.....), but for me, IPS is the theurgy word. For people who do not know what it is just google "IPS panel", if no continuously, just know this, IPS is supposedly the best panel you can get as LCD panel (I...

So Far, So Beneficent!
I picked this TV up earlier this month to establish the place of a disappointing LED set from another brand, and I couldn't be happier that I made the twitch. This Panasonic model is the sharpest I've ever had and a few apt adjustments to the picture settings were all I needed to make safe a consistently solid (if not better) picture. In a TV, I wanted something that would be firstly reliable when it came to sports, but also worked kind-heartedly with movies and other everyday programming increased by the occasional video game session, and this TV has certainly delivered on all counts. I'm competent to see the picture clearly from just about every side imaginable, with no blurring and only a negligible amount of artifacts.I didn't set out to buy a TV equipped with Internet talent, but it's definitely a nice feature to have. The setup in the lodgings is such that I don't need the wireless capability and the added expense of an adapter, because I'm talented to simply connect an ethernet cable to my...

Amity my new TV!
I ultimately set out to buy a flat panel TV for my bedroom. I wanted an LED TV because I like the brightness of it compared to other LCD or plasma. I didn't scarceness a 3D TV and I spent a lot of time looking for a TV without 3D. I don't want to pay remarkably for it and I won't lay around in my bed with 3D glasses watching a movie so I don't see the something. I did want an internet capable TV to stream Netflix movies. I in days of old streamed them through my Wii. This TV does not comprise built in wireless, but I bought a and it works beautifully. I plugged my wireless router into the adapter and I eat four ports to hook up an ethernet cable. I regard as I get better streaming performance this way. I have watched Netflix not quite every day and never had a problem. The picture is beautiful. I build that I go back and forth...

Superlative bang for your buck!
I brainstorm I made a mistake being that this LG LED TV would be at bottom for sports viewing. I completely overlooked the 60hz refresh grade because I wanted so bad to get an LED TV and I thought I made a mistake by not getting at least a 120hz recondition rate for sports viewing. Well, I can honestly say with a dependable face that I definitely did not make a mistake. No stir blur and I watch a lot of baseball and have been watching Wimbledon and neither the baseball or the tennis ball has any gait blur what so ever. I know the TV salespeople that blitzkrieg 120hz for sports fanatics will not be happy when I say that you do not essential 120hz for sports viewing for this particular LED TV. I don't recognize about other 60hz LED TVS but this one does not have motility blur and you know how fast a baseball travels and tennis balls go fetching fast too. Now I read somewhere that anything 40 inches or smaller that you won't intimation motion blur. That may be the reason why I am not noticing passage blur but it...

Good the price
Celebrated buy for the price. The Picture Quality is great. The sensor bothered me at beginning but I just turned it off. If not the TV dims whenever someone turned off the lights. The entirety else is ok and the TV fits perfectly in a 6 x 7 small room we had in the brothel. If you are looking for a small, lightweight TV for around $500, look no then again. 5 starts!
