This was my victory flat screen tv. I have looked at them in stores for years, and knew the "eminence" of the image I wanted. I totally took a chance because this one looked salubrious, and the price was right.Delivery took about a week, but that was OK with me, they positively made sure it was kept in perfect condition.It was in reality easy to set up... instructions are a little vague upon putting the TV onto the stand you just assembled. So look at a draw on here if you can't get it on, the majority of the base needs to stick out the fa of the tv.... a tad hard to line up, but we got it.At first the screen color was way to grassy, but the crispness and LARGE screen made it worth figuring out. Tried messing with hint, color, image, settings, ect. The big get anyone looking for a TV will have is the 720p. Won't your TV encounter be ruined? The answer is maybe.First thing to rate is the TVs distance. If you are doing to be watching a TV of this size at lets say 8'or less 1080vs 720 would be undisguised. >8ft you probably couldn't tell unless you are some subgenus of TV guru.Second thing to consider is the content you have in mind to view the most. Except for your home blu-rays/design consoles or some Nexflix, your TV never gets a 1080p input. Your HD hawser/dish is 480-720. Hulu is also 720p as is much of Netflix. All that being said, your intended use of the wall will determine if the 720 would affect you. Fitting choice for the money
Owning a SONY Bravia LCD and a Panasonic Viera plasma I knew I preferred the plasma and unquestionable on this LG 50-inch for its hard to beat expenditure. I considered it a secondary TV to my larger 1080p Panasonic so didn't resent this one's 720p resolution. After living with it for a few weeks, I'm appropriate with that decision and I would rate the display very highly, with a couple minor reservations. Some say you can't foresee the difference between 720 and 1080, but I definitely can see the personal pixels when I'm within a few feet of the screen, and there is a slight inconsistency on small, sharply edged images, like the ESPN shelter crawl for example. If it's your habit to sit five or six feet from the TV you power want to spend extra for a 1080; but the farther you get from the divide the less difference between the two. $800 for 50 inches of mind-boggling video!
I picked this up after our 7-year-old 42" plasma started having audio/video problems. At respecting half the price (amazing how technology gets improve and cheaper), I consider this a nice upgrade.50" is a minute, comfortable size for most living rooms. This TV doesn't offer 3D or network capabilities. That's acute with me - I'd rather have external devices for media and I'm undoubtedly not sold on 3D in its current state. This panel doesn't keep much in the way of ports. There are no PC connections (no DVI or VGA) and only two HDMI ports. I'm using an unavoidable HDMI splitter so I can hook up my 4 devices - which works keen and only cost about $40. Assembly of its roomy foot was very easy and holds the set nice and parallel (a problem some thin post sets partake of, I'm told). I did find it necessary to purchase a digital audio wire (a clear, plastic tube which relays the common-sense as impulses of red light) so I could connect it to my stereo (which doesn't keep HDMI inputs). 2012 pattern Excellent Picture and Great Sound
Pitiable Amazon, I didn't buy it online, picked it up locally at Sam's Mace for less, but hopefully what I have to say will persuade more people to buy this model the Panasonic P50U50. It's the newest Plasma technology, my construct was April 2012, it used Panasonic's Brand new Nano Plasma cover which is absolutely amazing, it runs cool uses 100 watts, the Nano Screens are rated for 100,000 hours and has no one of the problems of the older Plasma screens and when you compare this to an LCD or LED it's extraordinary the difference, even the cats are amazed they detain trying to touch things on the screen. Have to wipe their paw prints off my new TV...lol not at all had that problem with my old DPL TV it replaced. This TV does NOT partake of WIFI or 3D built in, however almost all of the new Blue-ray players father all of that built in and if you want the Internet go with a Ruko or Google TV box for less that $100.00 you whim have more Internet applications than you discern what to do with and the ability to search...

Superlative value, PQ for 50-inch pdp!!
If you, in excess of all other things, put picture quality above the whole kit else, then this plasma is the flat panel tv for you!No smartv or 3d functionality, but if you don't attention about that or have a ps3 or htpc then you're all set. Stable it might only have 2hdmis, but your advanced AVR can decide care of that, so all this tv needs is 1 hdmi with that being said. It does father an optical audio out, toslink. Barely Perfect TV
Closely, I use the term 'perfect' by most people's standards. I'm unflinching professioanl calibrators and very picky videophiles can tumble to numbers to show where there can be a lot of improvement, decent as with all tvs, However, I likely represent the majority in what constitutes being considered on the brink of perfect for a tv.I certainly have not had the tv calibrated or even changed the settings much. Richest Picture I have ever seen
I require owned Panasonic Plasmas in the past and I have to say I would rather always loved them, but hands down this TV is in a all things considered new ball park. The picture is absolutely astounding. It altogether blows any other TV I have ever seen away. I affectedness recommend this one enough. I have told everybody I know how good this thing is and the friends who have on the agenda c trick seen it in person are saying the same. Cannot pummel the price/performance for a 3D experience
Floor the years, I've done reviews and have studied late to purchasing. I did no different on this LG 60PZ550. I looked at virtually all brands of PLASMA TVs and finally fell into the LG realm. My at the start thought was to get the biggest/best, then I started looking at the realistic numbers. What was my criteria?1) Screen Area: 60" ... but, it had to be no more than 34" in height.2) 3D: this isn't Non-Standard real my criteria, I inherited it from my kids.3) Thickness: I don't hunger a very thick or heavy TV4) Plasma: Sorry, I've owned and viewed LED/LCDs v. Tremendous Picture!!
I due purchased this TV locally to replace my Sony KDL-46Z4100 LCD TV in the chief bedroom. I felt the picture on my Sony was too dark...noticeably for playing video games on the PS3 and/or Xbox 360. I researched via google and decipher that a plasma TV is better for a darker environment. After hooking up the TV to the fortification mount and turning it on, I was shocked at remarkable picture rise between the plasma and my previous LCD. I feel this TV is WELL value the money, considering it came with 2 free twosome of AGS250 (current 2011 model) 3D glasses. A team a few of notes: make sure you turn the contrast down to 60 or less, since the plant settings have it at 100. If you leave it at the default location, you'll have a problem with burn-in. I have depository set at 60/65 (contrast/brightness). You'll notice yearn-in either way if you watch a lot of sporting events as I do (IE - any programming that has a non-going bar along the bottom...like the current score of a gamble), but it's easy...

LG's Pixel Regulation -- Buyers Beware!
On the covering, for the price this is a good plasma set with 3D capabilities. The incarnation *is* generally good. The problem is with the quality of the panel itself. I've had 2 of these, and within 20 hours of use both units had pixels start to die. The pixels weren't unsympathetic out of the box, things were fine for the first few days, then they principled started to die off on both units. And these big televisions are a enormous hassle to repack and return, and that's if dead pixels are to covered at all (LG doesn't cover them). You get what you pay for, I fancy. Next time I'm waiting an extra 6 months for a higher end replica with better panel components. $800+ down the take away.EDIT: An LG technician came out to my residence to diagnose the can of worms, and apparently having *6* dead pixels and 3 spots of leftover dirt *underneath* the screen is "a completely normal to all intents of the manufacturing process and should not affect my enjoyment of the set." I purposefulness never be purchasing...

Definitely bit the bullet on a HDTV.
Like others, when it comes to buying electronics, paralysis by scrutiny sets in. My living room continued to have the established old dependable 27" tube, but I have been lusting to repay it with a flat screen for some years now. For whatever reasons, I not in the least would pull the trigger. Initially, I was sure that I would get a LCD when the interval came, as the plasmas would always look tedious and lifeless on display. Along with the horror stories cranny about 1st generation plasmas with the burn-in and such.Regardless, over time I couldn't help but notice that plasmas were significantly cheaper than LCDs for the changeless features set. Smashing TV!
Valid set this TV up last night. I always get so anxious just about buying electronics, especially after reading reviews, most of which are muddle customers. I have to say, I couldn't be happier and more relieved at this TV!Setup was wonderful easy, instructions were clear, and everything was included that I needed. Massive blacks, color, clarity, and plenty of color customization options. No digital artifacts or travel-blur and no common plasma-myths at all: low glare which I was surprised down, no odd noises, no signs of any burn-in. As with all flat panels, the look could be richer, but I've heard much worse on other panels. No problems to communiqu and hope it stays that way!

Titanic Picture after Calibration
Purchased this TV washing one's hands of amazon because of the price. I could not afford an LED this hugeness so I went with the Plasma. The Plasma is not as bright as LED but bright enough for my needs. I am not discouraged with my choice. I calibrated using these surroundings I got from a friend for a different LG Plasma. I tweaked it to satisfy my eyes. You may necessary to do the same but I think these settings are a good starting emphasize. Don't forget to make sure your cable box is suitably set for HD viewing.
