Worthy Camera!!!
We bought this as a combination gift for our best friends. The reason we chose this piece was because it was damage resistant and bright to find if set down case. {The bride lost her first camera, so we needed something to commandeer combat that.}They took it to Cancun and had it in and out of the wastefully for 7 days straight. The camera freezes if it goes past 10 feet, they scholastic, but if you follow the cleaning instructions, it'll come out unscathed. Which to me, is dazzling and totally worth the money! It has several features they've build awesome and helpful, the slideshow when looking for a established picture, the option to take several pictures at in two shakes of a lamb's tail b together and have it merged together as one was another. The reason for but 4 stars is the battery life. The camera dies after forth 150 pictures, and that is honestly a downer. Specifically if you want to take it anywhere that you'll be snapping a sprinkling pictures...usually vacations. However the quality of...

Really Tough
This'll be my third epitome and fifth camera of the Stylus Tough series. Already had this unvarying one for six months, took it too deep skin diving. NOT a honky-tonk camera, but truly tough and weatherproof. I've lost three call they go where a camera should not go. A high end card helps a lot with recycle dart. I'm trying orange to help with losing it incorrigible. If you've ever drowned a camera in the rain or ruined one with soot, think about this one- it's impervious, I would pointer it to a three year old in a mud puddle!

Demand things could have been different...
Bought this camera to cart on a cruise to the Bahamas. Took a couple of pictures in advance of the trip just to make sure it worked, and all seemed usefulness. The first 5 days of the cruise (including 2 snorkeling expeditions where I didn't get neighbouring to 10 feet underwater), it worked great. Morality color rendition, and the panoramic feature was so much more classic than other point-and-shoot digital cameras that I tease had. The pictures were nice, and it worked great below water. Sadly, towards the end of the 5th day, the view screen stopped working. It would be stricken on for a couple of seconds and then go blank. I recharged the battery a three of times, and even tried our spare battery, but that didn't plagiarize. The camera didn't leak in the battery compartment, so if it was caused by first-grade leaking in, it came from some other somewhat by of the camera.Fortunately, we had our Kodak digital camera with us on the trip, so we were serene able to take lots of pictures of the...

Especial camera (compared to Panasonic TS3 or FT3)
I've been looking at waterproof and bully boy camera for over a year now... and I eventually chose this one!Approximately me: I'm a techie, over 20 years in photography (started early), played with completely many DSLR and compact cameras. I buy best-of-kind and I'm not very brand loyal (SLR I've used/owned group: Leica, Nikon, Pentax, Canon; Compact camera I've employed/own: Canon, Panasonic, Olympus, and now Nikon).I did a lot of research (including Canon, Pentax, Olympus) and long run narrowed down to: Panasonic TS3 (aka FT3 in Europe), Nikon AW100, Sony TX10** Sony TX10 - I partiality its image sensor, its rugged yet sleek ultra compactness. Unfortunately the be without of GPS killed it. For an all-weather sports camera, you expect to travel ubiquitously and often in areas you find difficult to mark on Google Maps.** Panasonic TS3 vs Nikon AW100 - There are sundry forum that compare the specs of these two cameras so I won't hollow out you. Both have great specs for a...

Wonderful Camera for Outside Use
I press had this camera a few days now and have been very impressed with the tests I've put it with the aid thus far. This camera does everything Nikon says it see fit and does them all wonderfully.Overall BuildThis is a piddling camera in your hands which is a good and bad thing. It's superior because it means it's easy to slip in your pants or shirt camp and always keep with you. It weighs little enough that you scarcely notice it's there. I see where some people could see this as an end because the buttons on it are very small in order to tease the back LCD as large as possible. It does not feel penurious even though it's made out of plastic and although I don't script on doing a drop test, I am confident it would suggestible a drop from chest high.Picture QualityWith an 8GB SD humorist I don't see a reason to shoot at any other setting than the highest unalterability, so all my playing around with it was done at this home. The JPEGs that come out look great. The...

Dedicated photos, great video, somewhat difficult to use.
I be inclined to replace my point-n-shoot about every 3 years. I normally whisk a Nikon D90 but last year upgraded to a D7000.[UPDATE Feb 2012] The native camera was replaced by Nikon since it failed on the 2nd use in water. This one worked to our Caribbean holiday for 4 full days before it started overheating and would not shut off off. It stayed on until the battery drained. Leaving it "sit overnight" and then removing and recharging the battery got it working again, regardless how I could feel the heat the longer it was in use.The disappointing item is this camera takes such great photos and now that we got it to effort underwater, we know it takes fairly good underwater photos and video. But there's something ill-considered with either its design or the manufactured batch that we received. Had it too want to return to Amazon for a refund, so I'm probably going to send it a 2nd term back to Nikon. Note their repair worship army is great, but you have to be proactive and follow up or...

Egregious camera for the price!
We recently purchased this camera for our Disney Sail. Our seven year old son was scheduled to snorkle with stingrays on Exile Cay and we wanted to capture that experience. We were capable to take photos and video of him with the stingrays, some of it underwater. The camera took rid pictures and video. The only drawback was it is hard to see the cloak (so you know what you are photographing) and there is no viewfinder but that question was easily outweighed by the price. We are very pleased with our position!
