1080p Goodness for the budget-minded!
I original wrote this review on another site, and now that I've had more continually with this projector I have added and changed a few things and am reposting the evaluate on Amazon. I think more people will look to Amazon when purchasing this projector, conspicuously since the other site is not stocking it anymore. Confidently this review helps those of you who are on the edge all over purchasing this projector.Pros: Good looking, shine-white finish. Low-noise fan on normal-bulb approach. 4000 hours lamp life on econo is greater then most projectors! Fresh enough to use in bright mode to use with lights turned on in the space. In the dark, it looks simply amazing!1080p load looks very good. Blu-rays played from a PS3 (or other blu-ray competitor) look awesome. I watched Kung-Fu Panda and was "wowed" by what you can see on a much larger screen. Original impressions, very pleased
This was an upgrade for me from a 720p, DLP projector (Mitsubishi HD1000u). Incipient impressions are very positive, based on about 10 hours of viewing & tweaking. Bleeding quiet, and plenty bright running in low power course. The high resolution (1920 X 1080) approaches that for a orthodox 2k digital cinema, so my 145" diagonal screen, viewed from just about 15 feet distance, provides a very pleasing moving picture experience. That said, the increase in resolution from 720p is an incremental out of, so it is not the be all and end all of image quality in projectors. More specifically the begetter material you feed it is what really brings out the importance. Many HD feed materials (from cable or disciple) don't ever approach the inherent resolution of the projector, so at this malapropos only blu-ray source material will really introduce the utmost in high resolution detail (and not even all disks, depending on the actual mastering, etc.). Calibration is tougher!!
I procure been playing with the HD20 for last couple of days. I am to not sure what to say. Unlike any of my previous projectors(Optoma HD31 and HD70) it gives u too numerous options to calibrate. I guess that is a good factor. However,I am still struggling with this technique and seems like quite overwhelming to me. Good detail is picture is much bigger and brighter than HD70. Wonderful wide is a nice option. However, in terms of double details I am still not sure what to say especially with the downloaded HD fulfilled. Apparently it needs lot more tweaking( and hard employment) to calibrate it properly. I was reading different forums and there I review that it actually needs 100 odd hours for the bulb to come down. So that might be the reason too. Hence, to summarize, in terms of take the measure of and brightness, the improvement is significant. But as of now sadly I cannot say that in terms of carbon copy quality and details. I will keep u updated as I observe continuing the calibration process.Update:...

Rainbow Power A Deal Breaker
I did a lot of homework previous buying this product (my first projector). If you've done the identical, you'll know this is a great projector for home theatre use - with all the make right features and a lot of bang for the buck. This is all true. I sampled projectors with punter/higher features and saw nothing worth twice the evaluation. There is no doubt (unless money truly is NO Be against) that this is the projector to choose for home theatre. ALL THAT BEING SAID, and having scan and been warned by at least a dozen reviews (of the X1) which marginalized the ''rainbow make happen'' I MUST SAY THAT THE RAINBOW EFFECT IS A INSURMOUNTABLE Upset POINT and my review will focus on exactly that. Hi Def TV, Radio, DVD's and X-box all look Fantastic!
Nub line - best major purchase I have made since I bought a competent in with a finished basement!I got the projector and mounted it on the ceiling in my basement projecting on a switch on-brown wall. I expected that I would distress to paint the walls white, or get a screen, but was shocked by the astounding picture quality. Here are the details:1) Comcast Mooring with HiDef Box. Hidef program is so amazing it makes me craving to cry. Sports programing blows the mind away. I uniform enjoy watching boring hi-def shows with the woman, like the Oscars, just because I am so amazed at how crystal keen the picture looks. You feel like you are there! Conventional TV looks surprisingly great too, but setting it up right is deprecatory. Make sure to change the aspect ratio bankrupt to Native (vs 16:9 when watching hi-def channels). Proof product, forget about service
Creditable product, forget about service. I e-mailed InFocus near my faulty projector 8th January 2005it is now 7th January 2006 and I calm do not have my projector. That's right, it's been ONE YEAR sincemy projector stopped working, I maintain given up on it being repaired (it was under warranty) and am nowstruggling to get it disregard so that I can repair it out of my own pocket. Check this firm's record atthe Better Business Bureau, it is deemed to be unworthy due to unanswered complaints.

Big Bang for Spoonful Buck
I've purely had my ViewSonic PJD5123 one day, which is a little premature for reviewing, but with on the other hand one review posted, I thought another would be utilitarian. I actually made my purchase on that review's blessing, since I could find no others.First, let me say that my position was largely price-driven. I figured I'd have to buy a acclimated to projector, but the low price Amazon charged was the hook that caused me to piece on this brand-new one. My second criterion was that it had to travail with a Mac; it does! I did have to purchase an extra radio for my Macbook Pro unibody ($29.99 from Apple). I could fool gotten a third party cable for much less (and may quiescent do that for a backup), but the reviews on them were not as favorable as those on the Apple one.So I took the dive, even paying an extra $4 (Amazon Prime) to be experiencing it delivered in two days. It arrived on time and I found the total in the box as advertised. The written documentation is worthless, but...

An prudent solution
The ViewSonic PJD5123 Projector is an useful and economical solution for movie viewing and PowerPoint presentations. Projecting from 25' it creates a light 8' wide image. I connect it to a laptop with Bose Portugal duenna 2 Series II computer speakers creating an exceptional audio video common sense. I use a Logitech wireless mouse to control presentations. You may privation a case for the projector and possibly a longer video cable than the 6' wire provided. I am completely satisfied with the quality and dispatch of the projector and would recommend it to anyone in the market.

Wonderful projector
After shopping approximately and purchasing a few "cheap" projectors I realized that I needed to bight the bullet and buy something a bit more high-priced. I did a ton of research and for my price point of around $300 I establish this projector. I was a bit skeptical as I have had no luck with projectors recently and was perturbed about throwing down so much money. Take one's repose assured, this projector is worth it! I wanted a nice affordable film projector for backyard movie nights with friends. Maddening to find one that provided a great picture along with being affordable is no easy as can be task. But this model is fantastic. I can't get over how chip the picture is. And we use nothing but a white sheet pinned between two hammok posts. Unchanging in a room with mid day sun the picture is still bright and scram. The fan is not too loud and the controls are very easy to work. My lone concern is that finding the right connection for my macbook 5,1 unibody has been a hassle. We connected it to a tight dvd player and it...

X1 is a spectacular Home Entertainment system
I purchased the X1 lawful before Christmas (delivery in 36 hours!) to be the video roots for my Home Entertainment system. I use a computer to supply DVD input and for computer games. The Xbox and tactic Cube are connected through the s-video input. I am projecting on a 84 inch diagonal pale screen. Viewing distance is about 11 feet. DVD movies look fitting. There is no visible pixilation and blacks are close to accurate black (in film mode). Part of this is no waver do to using a computer for the DVD input. I believe a direct s-video input may not be as fitting (I have not tried this though).The video quarry systems also look great. Four sportswoman Halo on a big screen has to be seen to be believed. I also bring into the world a TV tuner (Hauppage)in the computer and astonishingly, the TV image (at close to 65 inch diagonal)is excellent.The only objection would be that the light output is not great (conspicuously in film or video mode) so you need to use it in a room that can be fully blacked...

Surprising Value, but more on the way
I be struck by logged about 350 hours on my X1 and am still impressed by what I see. I scheme that DVDs looked amazing with s-video in, but Hi-Def is be revenged more incredible, almost 3 dimensional.Slight rainbows from the 2x color at may or may not bother you. I am a broadcast professional and highly critical of tiki quality, and although I notice them, they are not a reckon with breaker, and seem to diminish the more I watch.If I were buying today, I'd transfer serious consideration to the newly announced Screenplay 4805. Although it looks like the X1, it is "enhanced" in divers ways. For another $600 you get DVI in with HDCP (confide in me, your gonna want this when HD-DVD hits the retail), a 25% brigher bulb (the X1 when set-up for video without the anaemic wheel segment, is less than 500 lumens), a inaction calibrated set-up for video out of the box, and a 16x9 image panel instead of 4:3. In place of of 800x600, it's 854x480. This means no vertical scaling on DVD real down to 800x450...

Infocus X1 DLP SVGA projector.
This is unqualifiedly an amazing product for the price. Don't let the SVGA resolution loon you, the images are crystal clear and since it's DLP there is in effect no visible pixel structure, as is common on LCD projectors. I couldn't be more over the moon with my purchase. Just go to a local home theater collection and view another DLP projector with a 2x colorwheel speed and survive sure you don't see rainbows before you buy it, because if you see them you'll reasonable end up returning it. If you don't see rainbows, it will be the best thing you for ever buy, unless you just bought a porsche or something.

Superlative Choice for 1080p HDTV
I went result of the comparisons, forums and reviews for days. I was really preference towards the Samsung LED Version of the DLP. I ended up going with this replica for certain reasons. First was the split screen. I wanted to be gifted to split ANY video signal. The Samsung models, Toshiba and others would at best do an analog/digital PIP or split screen. The Mitsubishi WD-65732 was the only MFG maquette that allows splits for ANY incoming signal envisage for a true 1080p source or HDMI-HDMI. I can do Component-HDMI or Component-Component, fair-minded about any mix. You can also resize the split screens in three distinctive configurations.I also had to weigh the importance of my XBOX 360 routine. I do have the HD-DVD add-on and I know the Samsung models allow for 1080p past VGA for movies or games. Now the Mitsubishi does have a DVI ally and it will do 1080p from that connection, but my exploration on the subject of taking a VGA cable and adding a DVI adapter washes out the trope to the point...

Exceedingly Nice TV
I purchased this TV encircling a month ago and it is awesome. Works great with my HTPC on the DVI input. All the today's gaming systems (including the Wii) look crisp. If you are looking for HD on a big wall for cheap this great. No rainbow effect they should prefer to advanced beyond that. Very light and uncomplicated to move. Also very good color. Measure def will look only ok as with most at liberty HDTVs but with upscaling DVD players/HTPCs it look appealing solid.

mitsubishu 65inch tv
I bought this tv 3 years ago and replacing the bulb now for the third tempo at $100 EACH. I was told I was lucky by Mitsubishi that if I get a year out of a bulb, that is elevated. Some places charge up to $200 a bulb. I very recently wasn't expecting to have to put this kind of affluent into a tv yearly. Well the last bulb only lasted 9 months. I would not make attractive this tv for this reason. It is nice was it works, but unfortunately it is costly every year.
