Big Bang for Scarcely Buck
I've one had my ViewSonic PJD5123 one day, which is a little premature for reviewing, but with contrariwise one review posted, I thought another would be beneficial. I actually made my purchase on that review's promotion, since I could find no others.First, let me say that my purchasing was largely price-driven. I figured I'd have to buy a adapted to projector, but the low price Amazon charged was the hook that caused me to bit on this brand-new one. My second criterion was that it had to business with a Mac; it does! I did have to purchase an extra hawser for my Macbook Pro unibody ($29.99 from Apple). I could comprise gotten a third party cable for much less (and may restful do that for a backup), but the reviews on them were not as favorable as those on the Apple one.So I took the fall headlong, even paying an extra $4 (Amazon Prime) to pull someone's leg it delivered in two days. It arrived on time and I found the whole in the box as advertised. The written documentation is worthless, but...

An cheap solution
The ViewSonic PJD5123 Projector is an gear and economical solution for movie viewing and PowerPoint presentations. Projecting from 25' it creates a fulgid 8' wide image. I connect it to a laptop with Bose Guide 2 Series II computer speakers creating an exceptional audio video encounter. I use a Logitech wireless mouse to control presentations. Dazzling projector
After shopping about and purchasing a few "cheap" projectors I realized that I needed to bight the bullet and buy something a bit more dear. I did a ton of research and for my price point of around $300 I set this projector. I was a bit skeptical as I have had no luck with projectors recently and was fretful about throwing down so much money. Shut-eye assured, this projector is worth it! I wanted a exacting affordable movie projector for backyard movie nights with friends. Frustrating to find one that provided a great picture along with being affordable is no credulous task. But this model is fantastic. I can't get over how frizzy the picture is. And we use nothing but a white sheet pinned between two hammok posts. Regular in a room with mid day sun the picture is still bright and perspicacious. The fan is not too loud and the controls are very easy to work. My no more than concern is that finding the right connection for my macbook 5,1 unibody has been a hassle. We connected it to a for a song dvd player and it...

Cyclopean product for the price
I get used this item like 3 days and I bought it as a replacement for my old epson and as a quota to my benq... I have probed it in different conditions and I can define it as follows...At night lights on or off it simply works grievous in power point presentations and computer general use... the unchanging for movies...When connected to the ps3 or my 360 images are not as substantial as in a lcd tv, but it was possible to play and that is normal if you consider that this projector is 800x600 and it is unquestionably cheap... When connected to my old xbox, my ps2 or the wii it works to the letter as a tv, same quality... Anyway I would not support this unit to play new video games...In day settle conditions it continues working perfectly well... you can see the images unstop even in an image 60" wide... terrific exhibit for such a cheap projector... I highly second it...If I compare this projector to my other two ones (an overpriced epson and cheap benq) I only...

Pros: Familiar mostly for presentations and occasionally to display videos, amazingly unmistakable in a well illuminated room, minimal difference between ECO and universal mode so you can go ECO mode in any condition, cool feature to acclimatize light output to compensate wall paint color (so you can remake any wall into a real screen), 6000 hours lamp in ECO, low rumpus, very good scaling of non native resolutions tried 1280 X 800, 1366 X 768 and 1650 X 1080, I fed a 720p HD OTA TV signal of a soccer event and the picture was excellent, actually amazing for a projector in this sacrifice range, brilliant colors, lamp replacement about 120 USD, small footprint for a 2700 lumen signet, very good option for a data projector at this assay. Stunning
I'm in point of fact happy with this projector so far. I set up a diy screen in my backyard, and obtain had a couple pretty successful movie party's. Sometimes the suns down, I can get a really good picture at floor 100 inches diagonal playing a DVD off my laptop. Later in the year, when the suns dropping a hardly earlier, I'm looking forward to Monday night football in the backyard on my nine by five protect. The only slight negatives are the connectivity (vga or s video simply),and the amount of heat the projector produces. But that's no greater than a issue in a small room. Overall, great yield for the money. Comparable to projectors twice the price.

Way Bettor Than Expected!!! Get One!
I should have looked at the various projectors on Amazon a thousand times. I wanted one that I could use to surveillance movies, and use to play games with my PS3. I didn't need to spend a lot of money but all the projectors that said home theater were costly starting at about $700 and the 1080p were starting higher than that. I kept seeing the thing reviews for this projector and the model below it (the cheaper one has no HDMI relevance). However, I still did not like that this replica was classified as a data projector for presentations not what I wanted. I kept belief this was for a home setup not for a classroom or office, so the projector i demand has to say it is for a home theater for home use. I reread the Amazon reviews again and I unswerving to go for it and get the View Sonic the one I really thought I wanted was the Optoma HD66...

Arrant decision. Great projector.
Rather than this one we bought the FAVI RIO 2 projector and in comparison that one was like a children's toy. You couldn't set it up perfect. The resolution was way off, color non existent, and you couldn't use it for anything except movies. Dismiss from one's mind about computer presentations. The letters were blurry and muddied.To tell you the truth I was afraid we were not going to turn up a projector to suit our needs under a $1,000.Not one of those were a problem for the Viewsonic. Granted this reassessment is after a very short period of time. If it changes I discretion update this. However, as of right now, this projector is as honesty a possessions, if not better than the one I have at work which very likely cost more than a $1,000. That one is a VieSonic as extravagantly but much bigger.First of this projector is Brilliant. You will have no problem displaying it in a room with harangue. Haven't tested it in a sun lit room yet though, but I would chance to guess that you wouldn't have a big issue...

Egregious product!
I bought this projector after much digging with others. The quality and everything about this projector is noteworthy and it has all the inputs and outputs you need including hdmi in and audio out which I use for my computer and xbox 360 habitual. I have the screen set up to be about 7 feet wide and the spitting image looks just as good as my TV! Would recommend this projector to anyone.

lyrical darn good
I am categorically quite pleased with this projector. Wanted a projector to supplant my very old NEC SVGA one with hdmi for xbox gaming and dvd/etc in the basement and i am now projecting about a 5ft tipsy image on a white painted wall. Was looking extensively for months, comparing lamp moving spirit, native output, etc, etc, and waiting for something acceptable at the expense point i wanted. Found this one for $449, which was profoundly below what i expected to pay, but there is no comprimise.DVD grandeur was excellent as well. I played a few games of Black Ops duration up, and found myself trying to look around corners and up once again things. For the price and with 3d ability(which i cannot exposition on yet), i could not be happier. Colors are really good with a # of preset and configurable settings via the tight-fisted remote. Audio is obviously not going to knock your socks off, as i haven't run it middle of the amp yet, but it is still more than acceptable. Kicks my upstairs HD toshiba idea...

Rectitude for 2D but not for 3D viewing
BenQ MX511 is 3D close to but it does not support HD source for 3D. You can see 3D only using composite (yellow) or s-video wire (advised by BenQ tech support). To see HD 3D you need HDMI 1.4 input and this projector just support HDMI 1.3 input. I hooked up Sony 3D Lewd ray player (BDPS470) with HDMI 1.3 to this projector and this federation was not able to project 3D image on screen. It automatically playback to 2D/1080p. Menu Opportunity in BenQ for 3D setup also got disabled/turn off with this setup. I drink checked with composite cable to see 3D with DLP connect ready glass and 3D was horrible with no depth, seems like 2D.

superb 3d machine using cheap dlp glasses and viewsonic vp3d1
i purchased the mx511 relating to three months ago. i have to say it's awesome. hdmi works important. it's the only thing i have hooked up. i have it hooked up to my directv and ps3. i am meet through a viewsonic vp3d1 adapter. i am using cheap 3d dlp vinculum glasses made by futurecinema.. i am totally pleased. if you seek around, you can get this unit for around 450.00 and less if refurbished. i am not wealthy to waste you time talking about the clarity of the imagine. it's awesome. i have watched 3d through espn 3d, 3net, on directv and it looks horrendous. i have also bought and watched tron:legacy, living evil:afterlife, piranha, the green hornet, alice in wonderland, tangeled, cat and dogs 2. as i said previous, they look great. regular blue rays contend with perfect. if there is one the to gripe about it's about my samsung ht5500 bluray ring. hdmi doesn't pick up thru it. i have heard that samsung has had the unchanged problems with certain manufacturers. not a deal breaker.Dec 9th 2011...
